Construction workers rescue panda stuck on hill
Workers constructing a road in Baoxing County of Sichuan Province rescued a panda trapped on a nearby hill last Saturday.
According to the workers, they spotted the panda, a rare and endangered species found only in China, struggling to find a way down from a hilltop.
The panda attacked and injured a worker, who was involved in the rescue.
"I don't care much for the injury. It's worth saving a panda," the injured worker said.
Experts at the local Wild Animal Protection Center said the panda was about 3 years old and weighed a healthy 35 kg.
