Qinghai and Shaanxi make something more to Silk Road tours

 


On August 6, 2009, northwest China's Qinghai and Shaanxi, two provinces on ancient Silk Road have signed an agreement that they would jointly make Silk Road tourism to have good development prospect.

In March, Silk Road had been enrolled as the first name among a list of 12 China's National Tours by China's tourism bureau, indicating its important position in Chinese tourism industry.

Recently, Shaanxi provincial government suggested in a document about strengthening tourism industry's development by relying state's famous travel destinations and uniting with other provinces and autonomous regions in northwest China, to make Silk Road an internationally known tour spot. Shaanxi has made a great and vital step forward in teaming up with Qinghai, where plenty of tourism resources will help to enrich Silk Road tour products.

Wang Lingjun, Vice Governor of Qinghai, said that as a joint tourism product in two provinces, Silk Road had testified the good cooperation relations in the past 20 years. In facing new business situations, the two provinces will work closely together to obtain win-win results by jointly develop new products on Silk Road. Thus, this will increase development speed of tourism and help economic improvement in western China.
