A 72-hour visa free policy of Beijing will be in use next year

 

Beijing government will put a 72-hour visa free policy in use next year, it starts on January 1, 2013, for foreign tourists from 45 countries. Foreign visitors keeping the valid visas and the air tickets to the third country can apply for 72-hour visa free entry in Beijing. The 45 visa-free countries include 24 countries in European Schengen Area, 7 other European countries, 6 countries in America, 6 Asian countries, Australia and New Zealand. This policy aims at making Beijing more accessible to the world and is expected to attract more overseas travelers.
