Within the twelfth five plan of the government, Shanghai Xintiandi  (xīn tiān dì, 新天地，pronounced Shin tea-en dee) ,an ideal urban place for tourists to appreciate historical and cultural legacies of Shanghai as well as fashionable life in Shanghai, will be enlarged one time based on 600,000 square meters now.

The manager of Ruian Real estate Liu Mengjie said yesterday, the first Andaz Hotel in Asia will be opened in Shanghai Xintiandi sometime this year.The street full of fashion shops in the north block of Xintiandi will be adjusted as an International Jewels and Watches Street. The biggest flag store of Blancpain (宝珀)---- the most complicated all hand-made stem-winder, will move to Taicang Road. In the future, a corridor of luxury goods will last for seveal kilometers in Xintiandi: Taicang Road for jewels and watches; Hubin Road for flag stores of the first class brand; Songshan Road for Hermes and Huaihai Road for LV and other high quality things.
