It is reported that the longest duration of annular eclipse of this century will occur at about 15:30 tomorrow (Jan. 15th).

The upcoming annular eclipse is also the first time shown in the 21st century, after the former one occurred in September 23rd, 1987.

It is said that the maximum duration of tomorrow’s annular eclipse will be up to 11 minutes and 8 seconds, and the expected time to break this record will probably in 3043. The longest duration of the annularity on China's territory would be 8 minutes and 17 seconds in Ruili(瑞丽), Yunan Province.

This annular eclipse will begin from the central Africa, and then through the Indian Ocean, southern India, Burma and finally entering China, passing through Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Chongqing, Hubei, Henan, Jiangsu, Shandong and other provinces. In some other areas it is not likely to view the complete annular eclipse but partial solar eclipse can be appreciated.

Experts remind that both the annular eclipse and partial eclipse can not be directly seen with the naked eye.
