Sinocyclocheilus-a rare transparent blind fish was discovered in Yunnan
Sinocyclocheilus, a rare transparent blind fish was discovered in Yunnan. If there is no ray or beam, the eyes of creatures will lose their roles. Hence in the deep and nontransparent cave, eyes seem to be the unneeded. In the dark zone of cave that human has little understanding, a kind of creature called Blind Fish lives. This kind of fish without eyes shows us another absolutely different lifestyle on the earth via their physical structure.
Sinocyclocheilus is a genus of cyprinid fish endemic to China. Amost all of its species live in or around caves. The type species is Sinocyclocheilus tingi. The name is derived from the Latin word sino, meaning "from China", and the Greek word kyklos, meaning "circle", and the Greek word cheilos, meaning "lip".
Recently, the experts of Kunming Institute of Zoology of Chinese Academy of Sciences and researchers of Geography Graduate School of Yunan University luckily discovered such a kind of fish in the subterranean river of Alu Old Cave in Yunnan province.
