First Hangzhou Metro( Hangzhou Subway) Was Unveiled

On April 15, the first Hangzhou metro train was unveiled successfully in Nanjing, which means the development of Hangzhou metro had entered into a new stage. This exciting news had brought hopes and confidences to Hangzhou citizens as well as tourists from home and abroad.

With the concepts of fashion and comfort, this metro train has 6 carriages, each one containing 24 seats. Inside of the carriage, it shows a diagram of 34 stations of Line 1 above the door and passengers can know some service information easily just from the LED, such as the weather, dates, departure station and destination, time of the first and last regular train.

The aluminum alloy train body with one red line is very attractive. Red in china indicates peace, luck and enthusiasm, therefore the train painted in this color is a hope of getting success at the very beginning of Hangzhou metro. The fastest speed is 80 km one hour.

According to the speech of Hangzhou Metro Group, the head of the train is in a shape of a happy face which expresses the kindness, gladness and peacefulness to welcome every passenger.At the end of June, these brand-new metro trains will be transported to Hangzhou to accept more tests before going to the market.

Line 1, which starts from Xianghu Lake then goes two directions (one is to Linping, the other is to Xiasha), is the core of Hangzhou urban rail transit system. It is supposed to operate on the National Day (October 1) of 2012, but due to the hard work of metro workers, hopefully, Hangzhou citizens will be lucky dogs one year ahead of schedule! So, let’s looking forward the operation of Hangzhou’s metro together!
