Confucius--The first Chinese Epic Movie in 2010 becomes hotspot

 

It will undoubtedly gain huge popularity because of the impact of Confucius and the Hong Kong top actor Chow Yun-Fat and award-winning actress Zhou Xun.

As a great thinker and educator in ancient China, Confucius has played a significant role in traditional Chinese culture, not only become a house hold name in China, but also widely known around the world.

According to Statistics, until September in 2009, there are totally 331 Confucius Institutes abroad, including 83 countries and regions.

The biopic about the Chinese philosopher Confucius was released in China on Jan. 22nd, which will challenge the high records of “Avatar”, directed by James Cameron.

“The plots in the film are related to our world like relationships between humans, nations and societies. If we translated the scripts into English and modernized his thoughts, I think foreigners would understand it,” said Chow Yun-Fat.
