Beijing to Shanghai Only 4 hrs 48 mins
As G112 high-speed railway departed from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station at 8:45 in the morning on May 11, Jing-Hu high speed railway gets into the test run’s month. Nine trains joined in yesterday’s test, among those, terminals of seven are to Beijing Southern Railway Station while the rest two’s destination is Jinan Western Railway Station.

From Shanghai to Beijing, the fastest one only spent 4 hours and 48 minutes with 2 minutes stop in Nanjing Southern Railway Station, 5 hours shortened compared with the rapidest train now. The type of the test trains 380 is the same as the ones in Hu-Hang High speed Railway but provides business carriage as a unique design, where, seats are luxury made of leather and similar to the VIP seats on the plane.
Wang Yongping, the speaker of China’s Ministry of Railways, said, “Beijing to Shanghai’s high speed railway will come into operation at the end of June. It will very convenient from Shanghai toQufu, Nanjing as well as Mount Tai. We are still working on offering a reasonable price of the tickets. Real-name registration system will be carried on from June 1 when buy tickets of bullet train, but passengers can buy tickets on line. No doubt, Jing-Hu High speed railway will take the lead in dong this.”
We believed that this good news will boost the tourism of Beijing and Shanghai.
