The 14th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition Kicked off

Boasting of being the most powerful and the biggest Automobile Exhibition in the world, the 14th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (AUTO Shanghai 2011) is finally unveiled in Shanghai New International Expo Center on April 21 and will last for one week.

The organizers are China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shanghai Sub - Council and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Automotive Sub – Council, and the main co-organizer is Shanghai International Exhibition Co.,Ltd.

In an area of 230,000 square meters, almost 2,000 exhibitors from 20 countries or regions are having a together party here, which brings 1,100 cars for appreciating. Being a visual feast, concept cars shows creative ideas of the designers; automobiles reflect the newest technology. And the most exciting thing is 75 cars being meet with the public for first time: audi A1, aston martin One-77, mazda, etc.

The motto of this exhibition is "Innovation for Tomorrow". Therefore, the focus of the exhibition is new energy car such as electric vehicle and hybrid power vehicle. Many companies devote themselves to setting this as their selling points. Luxury cars hall---N5 is the most popular one although it is very far away from the entrance.

As the earliest professional international automotive exhibition in China, the biennial AUTO Shanghai was started in 1985, so far, 13 exhibitions have been held successfully. With 25 years’ development, AUTO Shanghai has already made a grand stage for global automotive enterprises and played an important role in this platform for intensive exchange and corporation of automotive industries no matter from home or abroad.
