When watching the total eclipse, you should wear particular glasses in case the strong sunlight hurt your eyes. If the glasses are unavailable, you can also look through a piece of exposed photographic film or a sheet of glass evenly coated with ink or evenly smoke-blackened.
-
Do remember to cover your lens with a Baader Astro Solar safety film if you would like to use your telescope. A telescope is like a magnifier. It strengthens the sunlight and will injury your retina the moment you watch through it directly with no filters.
