Shaoxing Transport Network

I. By air

Although Shaoxing has no airport, it is still convenient for you to travel by air for it is only 30 km away from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport and is well-equipped with airport shuttle buses. Taking the buses, you can move conveniently between Shaoxing and the airport. The working hours of the buses leaving the airport for Shaoxing are between 09: 40 am and 20: 00 pm. The buses running to the opposite direction begin to work at 08: 30 am and stop at 18: 30 pm. The buses leave Shaoxing or the airport every other hour. It costs 30 RMB per person. II. By Train

Shaoxing Railway Station is located in Chezhan Road, to the north of Huancheng North Road. The railway station has trains reaching most of the metropolises in China, such as Jilin, Baotou, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Nanchang, and Ningbo, etc. Therefore traveling by train is convenient, too. It takes about 50 minutes to go from Shaoxing to Hangzhou and an hour from Shaoxing to Ningbo by train. And in this railway station, you can book tickets for trains departing Hangzhou or Shanghai. III. By Bus

Long-distance Bus Stations in Shaoxing: 

1. Shaoxing Passenger Transport Center is located at the junction of Zhongxing North Road and Huanbei North Road. It is the biggest bus station in Shaoxing. Its consulting Tel. number is 0575-8018852. It has inter-provincial coaches running to Shanghai, Jiangsu Province, Anhui Province, and Shandong Province, etc. and provincial coaches running towards cities of Zhejiang Province, such as Hangzhou, Ningbo, and Wenzhou, etc. Meanwhile, the station has express passenger coaches towards Shanghai, Ningbo, and Hangzhou. Urban Buses, such as No. 3, No. 8, No. 12, No. 13, No. 17, can take you to the station.
2. The East Bus Station is located in Huancheng East Road. Its consulting Tel. number is 0575-8644350. It has coaches running to different places of Zhejiang Province, such as Xinchang, Shangyu, Shengzhou, etc. You can take Bus 25 to get to the station.
3. The West Bus Station is located in Beihai Road. Its consulting Tel. number is 0575-5162966. It has coaches heading for Zhuji, Dongyang, Yiwu, Lanxi, longyou, Wuyi, etc.
4. The South Bus Station is located at the junction of Hancheng South Road and Wanghua Road. Its consulting Tel. number is 0575-8326194. It has buses heading for the suburb counties of Shaoxing. Urban Buses, such as No. 14, No. 605, can take you to the station.

Urban Traffic

The urban traffic system in Shaoxing consists of urban buses and taxies. The bus system in Shaoxing is well-developed. It covers about 100 bus routes, which enables you to tour every corner of the city. It has many tourism expresses, which can take you directly to the tourist attractions. Most of the buses charge 1 RMB. A small amount of them charge more. For example, No. 303, and No. 603 charge 5 RMB. Traffic jam frequently happens in Shaoxing, for it is a populous city with plentiful private cars. It mainly occurs in the city's center.

The taxies in Shaoxing charge less than other cities in China, such as Guangzhou and Hangzhou. The starting price is 5 RMB for the first 3 kilometers. Above 3 kilometers, you ought to pay 2.2 RMB for each kilometer. And there's a 1 RMB surcharge as Bunker Adjustment Factor every time when you take a taxi. Thus, if the distance you take amounts to 4 kilometers, you should totally pay the taxi driver 8.2 RMB.
