Fuyang Travel Guide

 

Fuyang is located in the northwest part of Zhejiang Province, and the important part in west area of Hangzhou. Fuyang boasts its water and mountain landscapes. In the administrative area of Fuyang, Fuchun Mountain is a famous cultural mountain in Chinese history. In ancient China, due to the messy and disordered world, many social elites retreated and lived a reclusive life in this mountain. In Yuan dynasty, famous painter Huang Gongwang painted the Chinese painting themed the beauty of Fuchun Mountain, and then this mountain became widely famous. Fuchun River in Fuyang is another famous scenic spot. Fuyang is the typical city of water and mountain. In the administrative area, Huanshan Mountain and Tianzhong Mountain are both the good leisure places for relaxing. Xinshadao (In English literally means New-Sand Isle) is the largest natural freshwater bathing area in East China.

Longmen Ancient Town

used to be the living residence of Sun Quan, the king of Wu Kingdom at the time of Three Kingdoms, and currently it is the residence of Sun Quan’s descendants. This ancient town is strongly featured of the architecture in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. To some extent, Nowadays, Longmen Ancient Town is the calling card of Fuyang. Recently, many other new tourist attractions are cultivated such as Hangzhou Wild Animal World, Fuchun Mountain International Golf Course and China’s Cultural Village of Ancient Papermaking and Printing. Fuyang is a good place that brings up a lot of famous people such as Yu Dafu, a famous modern poet and essayist ; Luo Yin, a famous classical poet of late Tang Dynasty and so on.

Since the implementation of opening and reform policy, Fuyang has had a rapid development. Now China’s Racket Base, China’s Base of White Board Paper Production Base and China’s Cable Industrial Park are all established here. Fuyang is also crowned to be the national garden city, national sanitary city, China’s excellent tourist city and national model city of environmental protection.
