Datong airport is located in the north side of Beijiazao Town. It is started operating in January, 2006 and was the seconf civil airport in Shanxi province. The general airlines are Datong-Shanghai, Datong-Beijing and Datong-Changzhi-Guangzhou.
By Train
Datong Railway Station is an important transportation hub connecting Datong with Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei province, Inner Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture and other cities of Shanxi province. Beijing-Baotou railway, Datong-Zhangjiakou railway, Beijing-Taiyuan railway and Datong-Qinhuangdao Raiway are going across Datong. Datong Station is Chinese top-level railway station, passengers can go anywhere from Datong station. Currently Datong-Xian railway is in progress. The layout and design of Datong-Zhangjiakou-Beijing railway have been completed.
