Damxung County Travel Guide, Lhasa, Tibet
Located at the connection region of South Tibet and North Tibet and as one part of Jiangtang Grassland, Damxung County（当雄县） is always listed in the golden tourist itinerary. In Tibetan, Damxung means the well-selected pasture. 60 kilometers away from Lhasa, it boasts the north gate of Lhasa. In its administrative region, the average height above sea level is 4300 meters. The total coverage is 1.2000 square kilometers.
Damxung County is the only one that develops its economy based on its stockbreeding and also one of the meat food supply bases of Lhasa.
Train Station of Damxung County is mostly featured by Tibetan culture along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, besides, it is also a quite well station built with the modern building style.
