Dragon-Phoenix Tribute Noodles (Longfeng Gongmian)

 

 

Dragon-Phoenix Tribute Noodles is located in Huaining County, and it is historical and long-standing. It was said in North Song Dynasty that there was a man of Shipai Town acted as the official in the central government, and at his 70-year birthday, his younger brother cooked the longevity noodle and took it specially to his old brother living in capital, and his old brother presented the noodle to the Emperor Zhao Kuangying as the tribute. The Emperor found it was very delicious and ordered it to be the tribute for royal life every year, so anciently it was also called Longfeng Gongmian. The producing way is sharply different from the general noodle. The cookers generally adopt the refined flour, egg extract, sesame oil and refined salt, and they make it elaborately. The eating way is also elaborate, firstly the chicken soup or meat oil initially prepared and then mixed with soy sauce, the refined msg, shallot, and then filled with the boiled the noodle. It is very soft and delicious, and it is nutritious, so it is very suitable for the senior people.
