Fengdu - Chinese ghost city

Fengdu Ghost Town is a magic beautiful tourist destination well known at home and abroad. it is called as Divine Comedy of China. Fengdu Ghost Town covers the area up to 2,901 square kilometers and administrates 31 towns and villages with a total population of 780,000. It is famous as the Ghost City in China.

It is said that Fengdu Ghost Town is the end result of human souls after they died in the earthly world. Fengdu Ghost Town is a unique one all around the world and the famous ancient trees and temples are around the towns. The temples managed by immortals from Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism in chthonic area.   

Fengdu Ghost Town is a legendary old town famed as immortals and ghosts. It is said there are 18 layers in this afterworld. Each layer means the different sin. Generally, the deeper the ghost they are, the more sin they have. In some classic novels, such as, Pilgrimage to the West, the Apotheosizing Tales, and Strange Tales of Liaozhai, more illustrations about the afterworld are easily available. Fengdu Ghost Town is the national key scenic spots. There is a largest palace of ghost area over all China. There is a stone sculpture of Ghost King. Tomb group of Han Dynasty in Fengdu Ghost Town is the largest one all round the world. There are two mountain attractions, that is, Ming Mountain and Shuanggui Mountain.

Due to the unique history, cultural connotation, legendary tales, beautiful scenery and irreplaceable sightseeing value, it has been the origin of Chinese ghost-culture research. It is the ghost world.
