Electricity in China

Electricity supply in China is 220 volts (V) and 50 hertz (Hz), a variety of outlets can be found in China, so to bring a good all-around adaptor plug set is recommended. Diagrams of common types of outlet and plugs corresponding to them are shown below.

The Type G outlet and plug above are common in Hong Kong but quite rarely seen in Mainland China. They are limitedly used in the southern coast near Hong Kong and some five-star hotels.
