In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel in Zhuhai. Today your tour includes Zhuhai Fisher Girl Statue, a landmark of Zhuhai, which stands in Xianglu Bay. Continues to Qinglu Road, the 10-km-long Qinglu (Lover's road) snakes along the far stretching beaches with beautiful scenery overlooking the sea. Proceed to visit Meixi Archway.

After lunch, move on to visit New Yuan Ming Yuan Garden, a copy of the Winter Palace in Beijing, which was burned down by the eight allied forces of the West during the late Qing Dynasty. The New Yuan Ming Yuan Palace is a rare imitation of Chinese traditional architecture of the long past, functioning as an important educational base for Chinese patriotism.

Later, you will be transferred to your hotel. End of your tour. 

 

The area is located in Meixi Village, Qianshan Town, Zhuhai, having four parts: three elegant and majestic granite archways built in the Qing Dynasty ; the former residence of Mr. Chen Fang, an outstanding overseas Chinese and first Chinese consul in Hawaii in the late Qing Dynasty ; the personal garden of Mr. Chen and the Chen's family graveyard. 

 

 

Built based on the original Yuanmingyuan Garden in Beijing, the New Yuanmingyuan Garden in Zhuhai is an imitation one having eighteen of the original forty sights. Chinese palaces, buildings, and pavilions demonstrate the imperial architectural style of the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911) and the layout of the classical gardens in southern China, while the Western style architecture in the west section of the garden manifests the classic European style. It is a good place for architectural enthusiasts.

 

The fisher-girl statue has become the symbol of Zhuhai. She gracefully stands at the beautiful Xianglu Bay, raising a bright pearl with both hands in an elegant posture. Look at her face, joy merged into shyness. She spreads bright luster to the world, donates treasures to all the people. The statue is composed of granite and stands 8.7 meters high weighing 10 tons. It was designed by a famous Chinese sculptor: Panhe.
