Tour itinerary: 

In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to railway station to take the intercity train from Beijing to Tianjin (no. C2013 08:10-08:40AM). Upon arrival in Tianjin Railway Station, you will be met by your local guide, transferred to Ancient Culture Street and Tianhou Temple. There you will have the chance to visit some stores for Traditional Chinese Items, such as the painted sculpture of Clay Figure Zhang and Yangliuqing pictures.

After lunch, drive you to visit Tianjin Natural Museum, which located at the west end of the Machang Road. Near the museum, it is Tianjin Clay Figure Zhang Workshop. There you will learn how the Clay Figure Zhang is made live.

Later, you will be transferred to railway station to take the intercity train back Beijing (no. C2070 18:30-19:00PM). Upon arrival, be transferred to your hotel. End of your tour.

The Tianjin Natural History Museum, located at the west end of the Machang Road, was set up in 1914 by a French missionary and opened in 1927, with the previous name as Beijiang Museum. It got the present name in 1957. The exhibits in the Tianjin Natural History Museum are shown in the Introduction Hall, the Ancient Life Halls I and II, the Aquatic Life Hall, the Zoology Hall, the Entomology Hall, the Amphibious Reptile Hall, the Seashell Hall and the Tropical Plant Hall. The exhibits emphasize this international museum’s themes of earth and life, and display a variety of species and zoology, the unity between life and the surroundings, and the harmony between human being and nature. 

It was built in 1958, covering 1,400 square meters and is civil undertaking unit engaged in the research of painted sculpture professionally with 46 staff members, among which 27 members are producers that include 5 technologists with senior titles, 15 technologists with secondary title and 7 assistant technologists. 5 creation rooms and 3 shops are affiliated to the Clay Figure Zhang Workshop. Tianjin Clay Figure Zhang Workshop under the guidance of Municipal Culture Bureau takes inheritance and innovation as policy and tries to develop arts invention and production. Its perfect art works have ever awarded by the city, meanwhile been collected by art galleries at home and abroad. The workshop is gradually taking a very important role in country's folk arts and makes great contribution for improving the popularity of Tianjin. The Workshop makes great contribution to the development of socialism culture, build socialism spirit civilization, prosper arts invention and meet the aesthetic standards of people at home and abroad people.
