Day 1 Arrive in Xian   (B/L/D)
 
In the morning you will visit Shaanxi Historical Museum. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit the Great Mosque, one of the four biggest in Northwest China, and enjoy yourself in the Muslim street. Enjoy a special dumpling dinner.

Day 2 Xian - Tianshui by Train  (B/L)
 
After breakfast, you will visit the amazing Terracotta Warriors, which was found in 1974 and gave the whole world a shock. In the afternoon, you will pay a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda before taking a train to Tianshui.

Day 3 Tianshui - Lanzhou   (B/L)
 
The city tour in the morning takes you to Maijishan Grottoes, one of the four most famous Buddhist grottoes in China, known for the vivid clay sculptures. After lunch, you will visit Fuxi Temple before driving to Lanzhou.

Day 4  Lanzhou   (B/L)
 
In the morning you will visit Gansu Provincial Museum, which hosts the bronze statue of flying-horse on the bird (It is the symbol of Chinese tourism). After lunch, you will visit the Water-wheel Park, Zhongshan Iron Bridge and White Pagoda Hill.

Day 5 Lanzhou - Xiahe   (B/L)
 
Set out to visit Binglingsi Grottoes in the morning. It is about 75km from Lanzhou, there you are going to take a boat trip and enjoy the fine Buddhist statues in the peaceful valley. Then, drive across Linxia, the Muslim prefecture and drive on to Xiahe, known as Little Tibet. Today you are actually experiencing 3 different cultures: Han (in Lanzhou), Hui (in Linxia) and Tibetan (in Xiahe).

Day 6 Xiahe   (B/L)
 
Full day visit Labrang Monastery, one of the six major Gelupa (Yellow Hat Sect) monasteries, the biggest university of Tibetanlogy,

Day 7 Xiahe - Tongren   (B/L/D)
 
Drive to Tongren, known also as Repkon, it is a small town known for art. It's said that almost everyone can make Tangkha here. After lunch, you will visit Longwu Monastery and an art gallery to see how local people make Tangkha. Stay overnight at the small peaceful town.

Day 8 Tongren - Xining   (B/L)
 
In the morning you will drive to Xining. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit Kumbum Monastery. Located 25 km south of Xining, the monastery is the birth place of Tsongkapa, founder of Gelupa (Yellow Hat Sect). It is also one of the six major Gelupa monasteries.

Day 9 Xining - Zhangye   (B/L)
 
Today you will drive across the Qilian Mountain to Zhangye. You will be amazed at the picturesque scenery of Qilian Mountain, which sets apart Qinghai and Gansu Province. Lunch will be a picnic lunch on the grassland. En-route you will visit Matisi Grottoes.

Day 10 Zhangye - Jiayuguan   (B/L)
 
In the morning you will visit Giant Buddha Temple which hosts the biggest in-door sculpture of sleeping Buddha, and then drive to Jiayuguan. After lunch, you will visit Jiayuguan Pass, the western terminal of the Great Wall.

Day 11 Jiayuguan - Dunhuang   (B/L)
 
In the morning you will drive 350km to Dunhuang, Lunch will served in a local restaurant on the way. Upon arriving at Dunhuang, you will check in hotel and have a short break before visit Echoing Sand Dune and Crescent Moon Spring, where you may have an experience riding a camel and have fun sliding down from the sand dune.

Day 12 Dunhuang - Turpan by Train   (B/L/D)
 
The morning trip takes you to Mogao Grottoes, the world-known museum, enjoying the fine art; in the afternoon, you will visit Dunhuang Museum. After dinner, take an overnight soft sleeper train to Turpan.

Day 13 Turpan   (B/L)
 
Upon arrive in Turpan in the morning; you will be greeted by your local guide. After breakfast, you will visit to this oasis city includes Gaochang Ruined City, Flaming Mountain, Suleiman Minaret and the Grape Valley, lunch is served in a local restaurant.

Day 14 Turpan - Urumqi   (B/L)
 
In the morning, you will visit Astana Tombs, where the ancient people of the Gaochang city are buried. Then explore the Karez Well, an irrigation system of wells connected by underground channels and is considered to be one of the three great ancient projects in China. After lunch you will drive to Urumqi, and visit Xinjiang Museum.

Day 15 Urumqi - Kashgar by plane (B/L/D)
 
Today you will visit the picturesque Heavenly Mountain and also have a boat trip on the Heavenly Lake, take an evening flight to Kashgar, a fabled city with a rich mix of people and cultures.

Day 16 Kashgar   (B/L)
 
Visit the big Bazaar where you may have a good purchase. In the afternoon the tour takes you to the vast Id Kah Mosque and the tomb of Abakh Khoja in the country lanes.

Day 17 Kashgar - Urumqi by plane (B/L)
 
In the morning you visit a school, and a workshop where traditional carpet are made. You also tour the old town, a warren of twisting alleys and whitewashed walls, in a donkey cart taxi, in the evening you fly back to Urumqi.

Day 18 Depart from Urumqi   (B)
 
Free till be transferred to the airport to take your onward flight.
