Chinese Antique Markets Tour[detail] |
This morning, our guide will pick you up from you hotel at about 8am. Take a subway to the Kong Temple, the only place to memorize the Confucius in Shanghai downtown area. It's originally founded 700 years ago, the present address was built in 1855 in Qing Dynasty.
We can't tell it's a coincidence or fate that brought the old book market into the Kong Temple. Here you can find all kinds of Chinese old books, from comic strips to unique copy, and Sayings of Chairman Mao. Hundreds of book sellers and buyers are busy with discussing and selecting books.
Following is Dongtai Road. Dongtai Road in Shanghai is just like the Liulichang Street in Beijing. There are many antique experts selling real precious pieces. Of course it also has some shops selling novelty handicrafts. Only with rich knowledge about Chinese antiques, you can buy real antiques with high price. Otherwise, it's high chance that you would be ripped-off. At about 12:00 pm, we’ll send you back to your hotel, or other designated downtown place.
