This morning, you will be picked up at your hotel in Shanghai and driven around 3 hours to Yixing. Upon arrival, pay a visit at Shanjuan Cave with the earliest records in the Third Century（Cable car is not included）. It can be divided into three levels, the two lower levels of the cave are developed as a showy cave in a Chinese way with colored neon lights and other is Waterfall cave. Then, you will go to Yixing Clay Teapot market to take a view. Renowned for Teapot s superb tea brewing qualities, the market offers a rustic, elegant beauty and has been a tea staple in China for centuries. Yixing prices vary widely, from around 20 RMB Yuan for ordinary machine-made teapots to thousands of dollars for those that are collectible and handmade by famous ceramic artists.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Zhanggong Cave for a visit, which is an ancient karst cave, lying on Yufeng Mountain 20 km to the southwest of Yixing City. From the Tang Dynasty, there are numerous distinguished people visiting here with enormous poems and stone carving. Then, you will take a visit at Yixing Ceramics Museum. There you will see how ceramics processed. If you are interesting in participating, you could enjoy DIY and feel like an Artist. It will be gifted to you by the worker s baking there after engraving your name and birthday. This afternoon, you will be driven back to Shanghai. End of your memorable trip in Yixing.
