Shanghai - Suzhou - Hangzhou

Description :Neighboring Shanghai, the Paris of the East, are two paradise-like cities. To the southwest, it is Hangzhou, the city Marco Polo once called "the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world". It is a city rich with history and culture, spanning back over 2000 years. It made a name for itself in the sixth century, when the Grand Canal opened up and linked the area to other centers of trade. The Song dynasty helped make Hangzhou famous when the imperial family moved there in the 12th Century. With its inviting views and outstanding scenery, the area soon became popular. To the northwest, it is Suzhou, known as "Venice of China", with China's foremost gardens & canals.

Day 1

Shanghai   (No meal included)

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the guide and be transferred to your hotel in the city center.

Day 2

Shanghai   (B, L)

Visits : Nanjing Road, The Bund, The Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai Old Street, Yuyuan Garden

This morning travel to the Bund, a very important lankmark of Shanghai on the western bank of the Huangpu River. Afterwards travel to Pudong for a visit to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Ascend to the 263-meter-high helmet for a panorama view of the Huangpu River and the city. Then take a walk along the famous commercial street in Shanghai, Nanjing Road. This afternoon travel to Yuyuan Garden, an exquisite classic garden with a history of more than 400 years. Then visit Jade Buddha Temple where two jade Buddha statues from Burma are housed.

Today enjoy a free day at leisure.

Day 4

Shanghai -> Suzhou   (B, L)

Visits : Suzhou Silk Museum, Humble Administrator Garden

Today head for the railway station and take a safe, fast and comfortable train ride to Suzhou. After that, visit Suzhou Museum, which exhibits the arts and antiques of classical times and modern times from Ming and Qing Dynasties to modern period. After lunch you will go visit the Humble Administrator´s Garden, which is considered the most beautiful garden-style architectural complex in China. Have a free walk around the garden and you will get totally refreshed. Then pay a visit to Suzhou Silk Factory, where you can get to know about silk in China. And then take a boat ride on the Grand Canal to watch the waterside city view.

Day 5

Suzhou -> Hangzhou   (B, L)

Visits : Tongli Town

This morning begin today´s tour with a visit to Tongli, an ancient water town along the Grand Canal. The pretty and rustic town is well-known for its running water, stone bridges, peaceful atmosphere as well as long history. Crowned as "Small Oriental Venice", the intact ancient town is a great getaway from the hustle and bustle in big cities. Be transferred to the railway station and get on the train to Hangzhou. When you arrive in Hangzhou, you will be transferred to hotel.

Day 6

Hangzhou -> Shanghai   (B, L, D)

Visits : Lingyin Temple, Six Harmony Pagoda, West Lake

After enjoying your breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel and travel to Lingyin Temple, called as either "Temple of the Soul´s Retreat´ or ´Temple of Inspired Seclusion´ for the setting has a quiet and beautiful grandeur that encourages a feeling of peace and for contemplation. After that you will hike to the mini-mountain Peak Flying from Afar, which is covered with odd-shaped rocks and historic trees and you will discover many quaint photogenic scenes, such as large Buddhist rock carvings etc. The next stop is to take a gander at Mei Jia Wu Tea Village, for a traditional tea ceremony. Here you will see how West Lake Longjing tea is made and its influence in the Chinese culture. In the afternoon, you are going to Flower Pond to view beautiful fish and feed the fish to pray for the good luck and have the chance to walk along on the very popular attraction of Su Causeway and then take a boat ride on the West Lake. Then move on to Hefang Street and visit Huqingyutang Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum. Be transferred to the railway station and get on the train to Shanghai. When you arrive in Shanghai, you will be transferred to the hotel.

Day 7

Shanghai   (B)

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your international flight.
