Eastern China Cultural Experience

Day 1  Shanghai - Suzhou (L)

Picked up from your hotel and transferred to Suzhou(100km,1hour 30minites of drive).

Take a walk among the narrow streets, stone houses and ancient canals and enjoy a short cruise along the historic Grand Canal.

In the afternoon we go to the Garden of the Master of Nets and have a class of traditional Chinese horticulture. Continue to visit the historic Hanshan Temple.

Check in Yijia Kaiyuan hotel or similar and free in the evening.

Day 2  Suzhou - Wuzhen (B/L/D)

After breakfast in your hotel pay a visit to a silk factory and the Suzhou Embroidery Institute, learn something about traditional Chinese silk culture.

Proceed to a beautiful water town Wuzhen(100km,1 hour 30 minutes of drive). With a history of 1200 years and its black tiled, tung oilpainted timber framework houses, that contrast sharply with its white walls and gray flagging, the town brings to mind a Chinese ink and water painting.  

Check in civilian lodge, enjoying the convenience of modern hotel while experiencing the kindness of local residents.

Day 3  Wuzhen - Hangzhou (B/L)

Free in the morning for you to explore the old charming town. 

In the afternoon we drive to Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province(90km,1 hour 30 minutes of drive).

Pay a visit to the Lingyin Temple, one of the ten most celebrated Buddhist monasteries in China. Explore the hundreds stone carvings scattered among the peak in front of the temple.

Check in Longhill Business Hotel or similar. Free in the evening.

Day 4  Hangzhou -  Shanghai(B/L)

Enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the West Lake by a short cruise tour. Pay a visit to a tea farm. Hangzhou boasts the finest green tea in China. Lunch at a farmer's home, taste typical local cuisine.

In the afternoon pay a visit to a traditional Chinese medicine museum, learn something about mystic Chinese medical culture. 

Transfer back to Shanghai and drop off your hotel.
