Day 1 - Shanghai (L)

Visits : Jade Buddha Temple, The Bund, Shanghai Old Street, The Oriental Pearl TV Tower

This morning, our guide will pick you up from Haitong Pier at Waigaoqiao Area or Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal (PLEASE specify which one when booking) at about 9am (or on request), and drive to visit Jade Buddha Temple and Old Street.

Built in 1918, Jade Buddha Temple is a building following the architectural style of Song Dynasty with a precise layout and harmonious structure. There are Heavenly-king Hall, Great Hall and Jade-Buddha Hall on the axes. The woman and man believers are used to gathering here to pray happiness and Buddha's help. It is really impressive and distinct that the temple in urban city is so popular, crowded and holy.

Shanghai Old Street has a total length of 825 meters, and is adjacent to the Yuyuan Garden Bazaar Area and runs in an east-west direction from Zhonghua Road to Henan Road South, with both ends marked by decorated archways.When you step in Shanghai Old Street,you will feel you just going back to the old Shanghai 100 years ago.

Taste your Chinese lunch at a local restaurant.

This afternoon, we will visit Shanghai Museum and Peoples Square. Shanghai Museum is one of China's greatest museums and it is world-renowned for its fine and rare collection of a large number of artistic heritage at home and abroad. Among them, bronze-wares, chinawares and traditional paintings of different dynasties are more attractive and sparkling.

Then ,you will stroll along the Bund and Nanjing Road.

In the evening you will visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower where you may have a birds eye view of Shanghai. Then you will be transferred back to your cruise.
