Day 1 Xining (No meal included)

Upon arrival, be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel in downtown Xining.

Day 2 Xining -> Qinghai Hu (B, L)

After breakfast at hotel, head to Xihai Town which is 100km west of Xining.The altitude here is 3200m, about 940 meters higher than in Xining. Cycling bikes will be well checked and tuned up before handing out to you. Cycling gears including helmets and knee enforcement will be ready for you, too. Ride a short distance to see if all are appropriate for you.

After lunch the cycling tour kicks off. This afternoon you will cycle the east part of Qinghai Lake along East Huanhu Road which stretches 56km to the south till road G109.Today you will ride for about 30km as a warming up and adaptive training. The van will follow all the time in case you feel tired and need a break.

Transfer to Qinghai Lake Hotel. After dinner enjoy the sunset around 20:30 by Qinghai Lake.

Day 3 Qinghai Hu (B, L)

Watch sunrise at the Qinghai Lake. Then have breakfast at hotel and to visit local Tibetan families, taste and learn to make Tibetan Yogurt and Tsamba.

After lunch drive to Heimahe (Black Horse River). It is 52km from here to today’s destination Bird Island. It is the most beautiful part of the race route. The view is fantastic and breathtaking. To save energy, you will ride the last 30km northward. So you will be transferred another 22km further from Heimahe. The van will be arranged as before.

Day 4 Qinghai Hu -> Xining (B, L)

After breakfast then head for Egg Island and Cormorant Island. May is the best month for watching bird in the area. More than 20 types of migrant bird such as bar-headed goose and brown-headed gull will be seen in the Qinghai Lake area. The tour guide will select good section for your cycling today. After lunch return to Xining. On the way back, you will pass by the beautiful Jinyintan grassland.

Free until be transferred to the airport and say goodbye to Qinghai Province.
