Dragon Gate Stone Carvings and Grand View Pavilion[detail] |
This morning/afternoon, take a half day tour to visit Dragon Gate Stone Carvings, which is famous for its spectacular view. Climb up the winding old stone stairs leading to the natural cliff-top platform, pass through an archway named Longmen (Dragon s Gate), you will seemany inscriptions and steles here and there, and have a bird s eye view of Kunming city and Dianchi Lake.
Then, take a visit to Grand View Pavilion. Located 7 kilometers to the west of Kunming, at the lakeshore of Dianchi Lake, the Grand View Pavilion was built in 1682, decorated with flying eaves and splendid paintings, the current pavilion is square, three-storied and was rebuilt in 1883.
After visiting, be transferred back to your hotel.
