Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 Beijing – Xian by overnight train Z19 (Depart Beijing at 21:24, Arrive in Xian at 8:25am next morning)

20:00 Holiday Inn Downtown (98 Beilishi Road,Xicheng District. Tel: 10-68338822)
20:30 Beijing International Hotel (9 Jianguomennei Dajie. Tel: 10-65126688)
Board the direct deluxe train Z19, find your compartment and bed with your guide’s help. The train departs at 21:24 and will arrive in Xian at 8:25 next morning, running about 11 hours.
Stay overnight on the train, sleep in soft berth.

Have breakfast on board at your expenses. Arrive in Xian around 8:25am, meet your local guide and begin your tour in Xian. Today you will visit the world wonder Terra Cotta Army and Emperor Qinshihuang’s mausoleum, the most significant archiological excavations of 20th century. After lunch, you visit the gray city walls imposing and built to keep out bandits and barbarians. Go on to the Great Mosque, built 1256 years ago and is still an active place of worship. Stroll around the Mosque and experience the distinct Muslim atmosphere.

Day 3 Xian – Chongqing by MU2261 (B/L/D)
Transfer to the airport, take MU2261(09:30-10:55) to Chongqing. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and begin your tour in Chongqing. This afternoon,you visit the ancient town of Ciqikou and Chaotianmen Gate for a taste of old Chongqing. Try local cuisine for lunch and dinner. Then board the deluxe China Regal Cruise ship.

Depart Chongqing at 8:00am.
After lunch have a shore excursion at Fengdu Ghost City, a legendary old town famed as immortals and ghosts.
Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner and Captain’s party.
Day 5 Cruise the Yangtze River (B/L/D)
Sail through Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge early in the morning;
Have a shore excursion to Shennong Stream. Enter Xiling Gorge in the afternoon and navigate Three Gorges Shiplock.

Visit the Three Gorges Dam Site, navigate Gezhouba Shiplock.
The Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River is known as one of the largest construction projects and the dam is the largest of its kind in the world today. The project aims to generate tremendous power and control flood. Started in 1992, the project is expected to be fully completed in 2009.
Day 7 Wuhan – Shanghai (B/L)
Disembark at Wuhan at 12:00, meet your local guide and transfer to a fine restaurant for lunch.
Transfer to the airport and take MU2509 (17:30-19:10) to Shanghai. Upon arrival in Shanghai,your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Have breakfast at your hotel. This morning you visit Yuyuan Garden, stroll at Chenghuangmiao bazzar. Enjoy local cuisine for lunch. In the afternoon,pay a visit to Shanghai Museum, People’s Square, the Bund and take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River.

Day 9 Depart Shanghai (B)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, check out and transfer to the airport to take your onward flight. Or if you would like to extend your tour, we could arrange on request.
