Morning: After breakfast, drive 1.5 hours to the Huhenuoer Prairie which is located 45km from urban Hailar and is a part of the Hulunbuir Grassland. It is one of the grasslands with lesser pollution and one of the most representative resorts for grassland customs. There are numerous large and small rivers and ponds on the wide grassland. The most beautiful lake is the Huhenuoer Lake, where green trees and grasses surround it. The river is as clear as a mirror. In summer, the Grassland is covered with green grass and clear water, cattle and sheep are in clusters. It will be covered with white snow in the winter. It is advisable to spend the night in yurts when you visit the Huhenuoer Grassland, which is the best way to enjoy the lifestyle of the Mongolians.

Afternoon: After lunch, continue to the Hulun Lake, the biggest in the northern China, also called Dalai Lake, which means “the lake like sea”. The lake stretches green and vast, just like a glittering pearl on the beautiful Hulunbuir Prairie. Feel the vastness and beauty of Lake Hulun in the sunshine. Later, drive another 40 minutes to Manzhouli city, which is a tiny frontier town of 50,000 lost in a sea of grass in the northeast corner of Inner Mongolia. Manzhouli is the famous port city - named Asia-European Continental Bridge.
Evening: Enjoy a free night in the border city. You can walk along Zhongsu Golden Street. It was once the primary channel for trade between China and Russia in the early 1900s. Russians can be seen everywhere in the streets. Most of the signs are written in Chinese, Russian, and Mongolian and many business people speak fluent Russian. A new wave of Russian traders has revitalized the city, effecting a return to the rough-and-tumble days of its founding. It is the most convenient base for trips into the gorgeous Hulunbuir, home to China's most pristine grasslands.
Suggestion: You could taste Chinese-Western style supper with Russian flavor while watching the Russian performance at Manzhouli hotel. (Approx. RMB170 per person).
