Hangzhou - Taizhou in Zhejiang Description :Tiantai Mountain is a well-known Buddhist Mecca, which is about 200 kilometers away from Hangzhou through the Hangzhou-Ningbo expressway. It is another sacred Buddhist spot at north of Tiantai County town and the birthplace of the Tiantai Sect of Chinese Buddhism and the Southern Sect of Taoism. This morning, you will be picked up at your hotel in Hangzhou and transferred to railway station to take the train to Taizhou.
Train information: D3111 07：38-10:29am.
Upon arrival, you will be met by local guide and transferred to visit Guoqing Temple. It was the birthplace of the Tiantai Sect of Chinese, Japanese and Korean Buddhism and one of China´s most famous and best preserved temples. Shiliang waterfallThe temple with the grand and unique architecture made Buddhist exchanges between Japan and China that promotes the friendship between two countries´ people.
Then, you will take a gander at Zhizhe Pagoda Courtyard, where you are going to listen to the story of Master Zhizhe who was the initiator of the Tiantai Sect.
After lunch, you will pay a visit at the magnificent and tall Shiliang Waterfall flowing swiftly. There is a stone beam about seven meters long and 1/3 meter wide topping the waterfall, and the narrowest place is only 1/6 meter wide. Actually, the stone beam is a temple that monks used to walk on the beam every day to the temple to offer sacrifices.
Finally, you will be transferred to railway station to take the train back to Hangzhou. End of your unforgettable trip.
