Welcome to the romantic city, Hangzhou which is reputed as the “City on Paradise” for its fascinating lake view and slow-paced life. The city had been rapidly developed since it was the capital of South Song Dynasty. Now it is one of the most famous destinations in southeast of China.
8:30am you will be picked up at your hotel and follow the footsteps of the first ladies who visited Hangzhou in the duration of G20 Summit 2016. Firstly visit the well-known Lingyin Temple, originally built in 326 A.D. in East Jin Dynasty, which is one of the famous Buddhist temples in the Yangtze River Delta Region. It is praised for its surrounding tranquil environment and religion. Then visit the close-by Fling Peak which is famous for the hundreds of Buddhist sculptures and natural caves.
As the second popular site for the First Ladies in Hangzhou, China National Tea Museum is the national tea culture theme museum. Located at the original place of Longjing Tea-Shuangfeng Village,southwest of the West Lake,Hangzhou, the museum cover an area of 7, 600 sq.m divided into 6 sections to exhibit the history of tea, story of tea, tea making, the tea sets, the tea folklore etc.
Lunch will be served with local Chinese meal.
This afternoon, continue on to visit the China National Silk Museum. It is one of the first state-level museums in China and the largest silk museum in the world, covering an area of 50,000 square meters and a building area of 8,000 square meters. You can learn the 5000 years’ history and culture of silk in China. Hangzhou is also one of the most famous silk market in China.
The stroll around the bustling the Qing Dynasty style Hefang Street which is lined with local souvenir stores, workshops, tea houses and restaurants etc. The final stop is the famous City God Pavilion. Standing on the pavilion, you can have the fascinating overlook of the lake, mountains, water and city. You will enjoy the traditional musical instrument performance and green tea ceremony(around 30 minutes) while having night banquet of South Song Dynasty (the local famous snacks).The night view of the west lake is also worthwhile for you to have a stop here.
