After having breakfast in the hotel, you will pay a visit to Chen Clan Family Mansion, which is the typical representative of classical architectural characteristics and styles of Guangdong province.
Then you will head to Nanyue King Museum ----a historical and cultural round-up of Guangdong. And it is the oldest and largest Han tomb with 10 exhibition halls. Funerary antiquities dated back to Han Dynasty are well-preserved in this tomb with an area of 14,000 sq. m, which shows the splendid culture in Linnan area (south of the Nanling Mountain).
After lunch, you will stroll inside the Yuexiu Park which is made up of three artificial lakes: Dongxiu, Nanxiu and Beixiu. Here, you can witness the landmark of Guangzhou---- A Five-goat Sculpture.
Later, continue to visit Six Banyan Temple. And then here comes the “grand finale”----watching Dragon Boat Tournament along the Pearl River with the locals. You could feel the intense atmosphere of Chinese Traditional Racing on Dragon Boat Festival. Dragon Boat Racing is a traditional culture in China and it is the main activity of the Dragon Boat Festival.
Each year Dragon Boat Racing will be held on June. It usually begins at 14:00 pm. Firstly, the racing team will beat gongs and drums for about an hour to celebrate the racing and the festival. Numerous people will go to the riverside to watch this gripping game. Without fixed seat, you can stand among the locals and scream for the players and their spirit. The furious game will last about half an hour.
After the racing, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Guangzhou.
