Visits : The Great Wall of China
Today we drive towards northwest to visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall. Badaling is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 50 miles (80 km) northwest of urban Beijing city in Yanqing County, which is within the Beijing municipality. The portion of the wall running through the site was built during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location's strategic importance. The highest point of Badaling is Beibalou, approximately 0.63 miles (1,015 m) above sea level. This afternoon pay a visit to Changling, one of the thirteen Ming Tombs. It is the tomb of Zhu Di, the third emperor of Ming Dynasty. This evening, enjoy the fantastic Beijing Opera(seat in the VIP area).
Visits : Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven
Today you will visit Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. After lunch you will visit the Temple of Heaven where emperors conducted religious rituals and prayed for good harvest in Qing and Ming dynasties. It is one of the most important landmarks of Beijing. Then you will transfered to Beijing railway station and take an overnight train to Xian.
Visits : Terra-Cotta Warriors, City Wall, Great Mosque, Muslim Street(Huimin Street)
After breakfast visit the Terracotta Warriors and Emperor Qin's Tomb. The discovery of the 2200-year-old Terracotta Warriors in 1974 once shocked the world. In the afternoon have a free walk along the age-old while well-preserved city wall. Then pay a visit to the Great Mosque and stroll along the Muslim Street to try some local snacks.
Visits : Ci Qi Kou (Porcelain Village)
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Chongqing.
After having lunch visit Caotian Gate and Ciqikou Old Town. At night be transferred to the pier to board the cruiseship. The fantastic Yangtze River cruise is coming.
After breakfast our guide will guide you to the Three Gorges Dam which is considered the greatest water construction in China. After the visit, go back to the ship and have lunch there. Then tidy your things up and get disembarked. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport and take flight to Shanghai.
Visits : Yuyuan Garden, Nanjing Road, Shanghai Museum, The Bund
Today go for Yuyuan Garden which was built for Pan Yunduan's parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age. Pan Yunduan was an official of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The garden is a typical classic garden-style architectural complex. Later on walk around Chenghuangmiao Bazaar. There is an authentic local flavor about this busy market area, where the locals preserved their unique life styles and customs. In the afternoon explore Shanghai Museum. It is one of the three best museums in China. Then have a free walk along the Bund, which is lined with many historical buildings. Our guide will tell you stories once happening there. After that, stroll freely along Nanjing Road, the most famous pedestrian street in Shanghai.
