Picked up from your hotel at 8:30am, begin your tour with a visit to Fubo Hill. The hill is dotted with many interesting caves in which you can see  intricated carvings and stone Buddhas dating back to the Tang and Song dynasties. Among the best carvings is a self-portrait by painter Mi Fu and a poem by Fan Chengda, both from the Song dynasty. Next stop is the Reed Flute Cave, where you can enjoy some of the best scenery in Guilin with stalactites and stalagmites. It is known as the "Palace of Natural Arts".

 

After a leisurely stop to shop for local pearls, jewelry and crafts, you will continue to the most famous landmark of the city, Elephant Hill. Shaped like an elephant drinking water with its trunk, this monolithic hill is  approximately 3.5 million years old, with stairs to climb for a bird's eye view of Guilin.

 

Chinese lunch is served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon  you will visit Solitary Beauty Peak located on the campus of the Guangxi Normal University. It projects out from the ground like giant spike. At the bottom of the peak is the Wangcheng,a Ming dynasty palace.Before being transfered back to your hotel, take a stroll along the scenic waterways of nearby Seven Star Park.
