Day 1 Arrive Beijing (D)
 
Upon arrival, our guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. A welcome dinner is well prepared for you at nearby local Chinese restaurant. Enjoy a free night at hotel.

Day 2 Beijing (B/L)
 
Today’s tour takes you to Tiananmen Square—the largest city square in the world and the stage for many important historical events. Forbidden City, the imperial residence of 24 Ming and Qing emperors in history,one of the world's most bueatiful architectural complexes. Summer Palace, a classic work of Chinese royal garden
and once served as a "country home" for Qing emperor Qianlong's mother. With its Summer Palace, Beijing
handsome buildings,pretty scenery and long history,the Summer Palace is a wonderful place to explore.Then go ahead to Wangfujing Street, one of the world famous shopping streets.

Day 3 Beijing (B/L)
 
Day excursion to Great Wall and Ming Tombs. There're several parts of Great Wall open to visit around Beijing. Today you explore the Mutianyu Great Wall located some 90km north of Beijing. It is built on steep terrain so reaching the Wall involves
a strenuous climb. If you feel tired you can choose to take a cable car (chairlift) ride.
In the afternoon you visit one of the Ming Tombs - Dingling Tomb, the burial site of
the Wanli emperor,the 13th Ming emperor who ruled for 48 years until his death in Great Wall
1620.In front of the tomb is square courtyard representing earth and behind the courtyard is the circular tomb mounds representing heaven.

Day 4 Beijing - Chengdu (B/L)
 
Pay a visit to the Temple of Heaven, one of the most remarkable landmarks of Beijing,once served Ming and Qing dynasty emperors as a sacred space to perform ceremonial rites. The highlights of the temple are the Hall for the Prayer of Good Harvests,the Circular Altar,the Imperial Vault of Heaven and the Echo Wall. After finishing visiting the Temple of Heaven, you will be transfered to the airport and take
a flight to Chengdu.Upon arrival in Chengdu you will be greeted by the local guide and Tmeple of Heaven, Beijing
transferred to your hotel.

Day 5 Chengdu -Jiuzhaigou(L/D)
 
 
This morning you will have a bike tour to explore the small alleys of the city,experience the local markets,tea houses and traditiional architectures. Try the spicy Sichuan cuisine for lunch.
After lunch transfer to the airport and take a flight from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area in Sichuan's Aba Tibetan and Qiang Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area
Autonomous Prefecture. The UNESCO listed nature reserve is home of rare animals and plants as well as the Baima Tibetan minority.

Day 6 Jiuzhaigou    (B/L/D)
 
Full day exploring the wonderland. Our first stop, Mirror Lake, is located at the mouth of Ri Tse Valley. As indicated by its name, the lake has a mirror-like flat surface onto which every object - flowers, grasslands, forests, as well as distant mountains - are reflected. The Pearl Shoal is a wide, fan-shaped calcium beach. The water flows down the beach, the water drops splash in all directions as if thousands of pearls
shining in the sun. The Five Colored Pond is located at the lakefront along a rugged Mirror Lake, Jiuzhaigou Valley
road. The multi-colored pond is an enchanting sight; the water takes on a faint blue color from deadwood and leaves underneath its surface, while in other parts it is darker because of the shades of the trees and mountains nearby.

Day 7 Jiuzhaigou     (B/L/D)
 
Today you will continue to visit the Panda Lake , the Primeval Forest and countless other waterfalls and lakes in Jiuzhaigou.  The Panda Lake features curious color patterns of blue and green. It empties into the multi-stream,multi-level Panda Waterfall,dropping 78 metres in three steps. The Primeval Forest is a well preserved Tibetan houses in Jiuzhaigou Valley
ancient woodland.

Day8 Jiuzhaigou – Huanglong - Mao County   (B/L/D)
 
Today is a long journey with around six hours drive. After breakfast drive 140km (87 miles) to Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area in Songpan County. Making it onto the UNESCO World Heritage Site listings in 1992, Huanglong is edged by snow-capped peaks and glaciers. An incredible bio-diversity of flora and fauna thrives here alongside spectacular limestone formations,waterfalls and hot springs. 
 
After photographing in Huanglong, continue to drive 70km (43 miles) to the charming Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area
Tibetan town of Songpan. Have lunch at a local restaurant, then explore  and photograph in Songpan, featuring relics of its past as a walled city marked with lines of banners standing along the mountain with scriptures written in Tibetan language. From Songpan drive on another 150 km (93 miles) to Mao County for overnight stay at the 4 star Mao Xian International Hotel.

Day 9 Mao County - Wolong   (B/L/D)
 
Earlythis morning, drive southward for 185 km (115 miles) to the Wolong Nature Reserve with a stopover on the way for lunch and to visit the Jiang people of Taoping Wolong Panda Breed and Research Centre
village. Upon arrival in Wolong, visit one of Chengdu's most famous loveable citizens,
the giant pandas. A senior scientist at the reserve will give a lecture about pandas and how to protect them.

Day 10 Wolong - Dujiangyan   (B/L/D)
 
More photography of the Giant Pandas in the morning and a visit to the highly informative panda museum. After lunch, drive eastward for 70km (43.5 miles) to visit Dujiangyan Irrigation Project
Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a project started in the 3rd century BC to re-channel the Min River into irrigation canals. This ambitious project has contributed to the prosperity of the Chinese civilization in the Chengdu Plain.

Day 11 Dujiangyan - Leshan    (B/L/D)
 
This morning, drive southward for 162 km (101 miles) by expressway to Mount Leshan. The giant attraction of the Mountain is the world's largest Buddha statue. It's 71m high and you'll feel infinitely small just compared with one of the Buddha's
toenails. The statue is carved out from the rocks of the mountain. The best places
to enjoy the Buddha are onboard a boat on the river or from the hills that flank its head.

Day 12 Leshan - Mt. Emei     (B/L/D)
 
Photograph the Leshan Giant Buddha again in the morning. After lunch, make the one-hour drive to nearby Mt. Emei. It is the highest of China's four holy Buddhist mountains with a height of 3099m. Take a chairlift to the Golden Peak of Mt. Emei, enjoy a bird's view of the city and the sunset.

Day 13 Mt. Emei - Dazu     (B/L/D)Mt Emei
 
Photograph sunrise from atop Mt. Emei. Explore the mountain in the morning. After lunch, descend by chairlift from Mt. Emei and drive to Dazu County to visit the famous Dazu Rock Carvings.

Day 14 Dazu - Chongqing    (B/L/D)
 
Dazu Rock Carvings consist of two major sites, North Mountain and Baoding Mountain. North Mountain is smaller and requires less time. The most popular statues might be the Goddess of Mercy(Guanyin) and the Peacock King. The sculptures Chongqing, the mountain city of China
at Baoding Mountain are far superior. At the centre is the giant Reclining Buddha 
which is 31m long and 5m high. The expression on his face is one of peace and
happiness. After finishing visiting the rock carvings, drive 85km (53 miles) to Chongqing for dinner. After dinner embark the Yangtze River Cruise.

Cruise downstream  the Yangtze River. Shore excursion to Wanxian.
 
Day 16 Yangtze River     (B/L/D)Yangtze River Cruise
 
This morning sail through Qutang Gorge and Wushan, have a shore excursion to Shennong Stream.  In the afternoon sail through Xiling Gorge and the Three Gorges Dam Shiplock.
 
 
Day 17 Yangtze River –Yichang - Shanghai      (B/L/D)
 
Another highlight will be an excursion to the newly completed Three Gorges Dam Site at Sandouping. About 11:00, you disembark from cruise ship and the unforgettable cruise tour ends at Yichang.  The local guide will meet you at the pier and transfer you to the airport. Take a flight to Shanghai. Transfer to your hotel upon arrival.the Bund, Shanghai
