Activities in detail
Picked up at your hotel to the dock, have a boat trip on the Weat Lake which lasts about 45 minutes. Embark on the island of Three Pools Mirroring the Moon. Regarded as a pearl dropped from the heaven, the West Lake is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places of the country. Lying on the west edge of Hangzhou city, it covers a total area of 6 square kilometres with an average depth of 1.5 metres. Embraced by mountainous hills on three sides, the Lake contains glittering blue water with Bai and Su Causeways lying calmly in it. Here, one's poetic sentiments are inspired. The surrounding hills miraculously shaped peaks and serene forests and springs, providing scenes to supplement those of the Lake.
Then pay a visit to the Lingyin Temple and the Peak Flying from Afar. Be sheltered by forested hills on three sides, the temple is really a quite sanctuary. It is the largest and most resplendent temple in Hangzhou. The temple was first built in 326 AD some 1,600 years ago by an Indian Monk Huili. It prospered and flourished during the Five Dynasties Period when there were 9 buildings, 18 towers, and 72 halls with 1,300 rooms and more than 3,000 monks. Over history, the temple has been ruined and undergone renovation several times. It has recently been rebuilt to its original style.
Transferred back to your hotel before dinner time.
