Picked up from your hotel at 8:00am. Begin the tour with a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple with its priceless collection of Jade Buddha Statues from Burma.
Then drive to People's Square. It occupies a large portion of the city centre. Underneath the square is the city's largest metro station and the only station to transfer between metro lines one and two. Above the ground is the Shanghai Art Museum, the Grand Theatre, the Urban Planning Hall and the Shanghai Museum.
From a cultural and historical perspective, the highlight of the People's Square is the Shanghai Museum which is considerred one of the best museums of its kind in China. During the visit you may rent an audio phone (about USD6) for more detailed information

Jade Buddha Temple: Built during the troubled reign of the Qing Emperor Guangxu (1875-1908) and burned down after having been occupied during the 1911 revolution. It has a large collection of Jade Buddha Statue from Burma.
Shanghai Museum: The biggest, and many think the best museum in China. The galleries in this outstanding building display stunning collections of bronzes, sculptures, ceramics and porcelain, paintings, calligraphy, seals, jade, coins, furniture, ethnic artifacts from minority groups, temporary traveling exhibitions from places like the Guggenheim, and so much more ... give yourself time to enjoy it.
