Pick up at your hotel at 9 am and visit Beijing Natural History Museum, the largest natural history museum in China. As the first large-scale museum of natural history founded on our own strength after new China was established, Beijing Museum of Natural History was founded in 1951 and formally named in 1962. It bears three main functions: the specimen collection, the academic research and the science popularization of paleontology, zoology, botany and anthropology. It boasts its rich collections, high-level research and ever-enlarging exhibitions. Being one of a few museums of natural history in China and named as National Youth Science and Technology Education Base, the museum is covering a floor space of 24,000 square meters, with more than 8000 square meters for display. Beijing Museum of Natural History has already been the most popular natural history museum in China.
After lunch, visit China Military Museum. The Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution stands on the north side of the central section of Fuxing Road directly south of the Yuyuantan Park. The museum is composed of two four-storey wings and a main building of seven stories topped with the gilded emblem of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
Return to Hotel at about 5:30 pm.
