Day 1 - Beijing (No meal included)
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the guide and be transferred to your hotel in the city center.
Day 2 - Beijing (B, L)
Visits : Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven
After enjoying your breakfast you will visit Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. This afternoon you will visit the Temple of Heaven which is one of the important landmarks of Beijing.
Day 3 - Beijing (B, L)
Visits : Mutianyu Great Wall, Ming Thirteen Tombs, Sacred Road of Ming Tomb
After breakfast explore the fantastic wild section of Great wall-Mutianyu Section, which is well preserved with spectacular view and has less tourists than Badaling. This afternoon pay a visit to the Sacred Road and Changling. On both sides of the sacred road are stone statues and animals guarding the emperors. Changling is the tomb of Zhu Di, the third emperor of Ming Dnasty. It is not excavated yet. And its overground structure now is a museum where the historical relics unearthed from Dingling are displayed. It is a good place to know the history of Ming Dynasty.
Day 4 - Beijing -> Xian (B, L)
Visits : Beijing Zoo, Summer Palace
Today sightseeing begins with a stop at Beijing Zoo to say hello to the lovely pandas. After having lunch pay a visit to Summer Palace, the former summer resort for Empress Dowager Ci Xi. Take a boat ride over Kunming Lake to enjoy the lakeside views. Then visit the old part of the city and walk through the winding alleys along Shicha Lake. Then you will transfered to Beijing railway station and take an overnight train to Xian.
Day 5 - Xian (B, L)
Visits : Terra-Cotta Warriors, The Big Wild Goose Pagoda
After breakfast visit the world famous Terra Cotta Warriors. It was discovered in 1974 and considered one of the eight wonders in the world. In the afternoon enjoy a leisure visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the most important historical sites in Xian.
Day 6 - Xian -> Chongqing -> Three Gorges Area (B, L, D)
Visits : Great Mosque, Muslim Street(Huimin Street)
This morning walk along the old streets of the Muslim area and visit the Grand Mosque. After having lunch you will be transferred to the airport and take flight to Chongqing. At night be transferred to the pier to board the cruiseship. The fantastic Yangtze River cruise is coming.
Day 7 - Three Gorges Area (B, L, D)
Visits : Fengdu Ghost Town
This morning sail on the Yangtze River. Enjoy shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost Town. Located on the northern bank of the River, Fengdu got its name of Ghost Town by the ancient legends of sinister spirits and terrible ghosts which are part of Chinese culture.
Day 8 - Three Gorges Area -> Yichang (B, L, D)
Visits : White Emperor City (Baidi Town)
After breakfast you may choose to take a shore excursion to the White King City (optional) or participate in the activities on board. Today you will pass through the Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. In the afternoon take an excursion to the Small Gorges or Shennong Stream. Tomorrow you will arrive in Yichang.
Day 9 - Yichang -> Wuhan (B, L, D)
After breakfast our guide will guide you to the Three Gorges Dam which is considered the greatest water construction in China. After the visit, go back to the ship and have lunch there. Then tidy your things up and get disembarked. In the afternoon pay a visit to Yichang Museum. Then be transferred to Wuhan by car.
Day 10 - Wuhan -> Guilin (B, L)
Visits : East Lake, The Yellow Crane Tower
After breakfast have a half day tour to Yellow Crane Pavilion, Hubei Provincial Museum and East Lake Park. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport and take flight to Guilin.
Day 11 - Guilin -> Yangshuo (B, L)
After enjoying your breakfast make this day with trip to Li River Cruise to witness the spectacular limestone rock formations and rural life along the riverbanks. arrive in Yangshuo, a small town set in the lush rice paddies and surrounded by meandering rivers and limestone peaks. After having lunch enjoy a half day free at leisure.
Day 13 - Guilin -> Shanghai (B, L)
Visits : Reed Flute Cave(Lu Di Yan)
Today pay a visit to Reed Flute Cave. Reed Flute Cave is known as a Palace of Natural Art. This afternoon you will be transferred to the airport and take flight to Shanghai. At night, enjoy a short cruise over Huangpu River to appreciate the night view of the city.
Day 14 - Shanghai (B, L)
Visits : Shanghai Museum, Yuyuan Garden
Today take half day trip to Shanghai Museum. As one of the three most important museums in China, it has a big collection of bronze wares. After lunch go for Yuyuan Garden which was built for Pan Yunduan's parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age. Pan Yunduan was an official of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The garden is a typical classic garden-style architectural complex. Later on walk around Chenghuangmiao Bazaar. There is an authentic local flavor about this busy market area, where the locals preserved their unique life styles and customs.
