Day 1 - Beijing (No meal included)

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the guide and be transferred to your hotel in the city center.

Day 2 - Beijing (B, L)

Visits : Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven

Today you will visit Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. After having lunch you will visit the Temple of Heaven where emperors conducted religious rituals and prayed for good harvest in Qing and Ming dynasties. It is one of the most important landmarks of Beijing.

Dawanju serves Beijing and Chongqing style food as well as the famous Beijing Duck.Their service is great too.

Day 3 - Beijing (B, L)

Visits : Mutianyu Great Wall, Sacred Road of The Ming Tombs

This morning explore the fantastic wild section of Great wall-Mutianyu Section, which is well preserved with spectacular view and has less tourists than Badaling.

In the afternoon pay a visit to the Sacred Road and Changling. On both sides of the sacred road are stone statues and animals guarding the emperors. Changling is the tomb of Zhu Di, the third emperor of Ming Dnasty. It is not excavated yet. And its overground structure now is a museum where the historical relics unearthed from Dingling are displayed. It is a good place to know the history of Ming Dynasty.

Day 4 - Beijing -> Xian (B, L)

Visits : Beijing Zoo, Beijing Summer Palace

After breakfast sightseeing begins with a stop at Beijing Zoo to say hello to the lovely pandas. In the afternoon pay a visit to Summer Palace, the former summer resort for Empress Dowager Ci Xi. Take a boat ride over Kunming Lake to enjoy the lakeside views. Then visit the old part of the city and walk through the winding alleys along Shicha Lake. Then you will transfered to Beijing railway station and take an overnight train to Xian.

It’s a truth universally acknowledged that a restaurant tacked on to a Triple-A tourist venue will stink. And cost the earth. The wood-furnished dining room, with its high beamed ceilings and tight squeeze of tables, exudes a tavern-esqe aura that seems to tease out congeniality from all present, making for a buzzy atmosphere that borders on raucous.

Day 5 - Xian (B, L)

Visits : Terra-Cotta Warriors, The Big Wild Goose Pagoda

After breakfast visit the world famous Terra Cotta Warriors. It was discovered in 1974 and considered one of the eight wonders in the world. After lunch enjoy a leisure visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the most important historical sites in Xian.

Considered as the priority when tourists come to Xian because it is famous for various local snacks with well-decorated atmosphere.

Day 6 - Xian -> Chongqing -> Three Gorges Area (B, L, D)

Visits : Great Mosque, Muslim Street（Huimin Street）

After enjoying your breakfast walk along the old streets of the Muslim area and visit the Grand Mosque. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport and take flight to Chongqing. At night be transferred to the pier to board the cruiseship. The fantastic Yangtze River cruise is coming.

Featured with both middle China and eastern China cuisine in nice environment. Served home-made dishes.

Day 7 - Three Gorges Area (B, L, D)

A top tourist attraction in Three Gorges Area

Visits : Fengdu Ghost Town

Today sail on the Yangtze River. Enjoy shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost Town. Located on the northern bank of the River, Fengdu got its name of Ghost Town by the ancient legends of sinister spirits and terrible ghosts which are part of Chinese culture.

Day 8 - Three Gorges Area -> Yichang (B, L, D)

Visits : White Emperor City (Baidi Town)

Today you may choose to take a shore excursion to the White King City (optional) or participate in the activities on board. Today you will pass through the Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. In the afternoon take an excursion to the Small Gorges or Shennong Stream. Tomorrow you will arrive in Yichang.

Day 9 - Yichang -> Wuhan (B, L, D)

Today our guide will guide you to the Three Gorges Dam which is considered the greatest water construction in China. After the visit, go back to the ship and have lunch there. Then tidy your things up and get disembarked. After having lunch pay a visit to Yichang Museum. Then be transferred to Wuhan by car.

Day 10 - Wuhan (B, L, D)

Visits : East Lake, The Yellow Crane Tower

After breakfast go visit Yellow Crane Pavilion, a famous and historic tower which stands on Sheshan at the bank of Yangtze River in the city of Wuhan. You can get a fine view of the Yangtze River from the top of the tower. Then visit Hubei Provincial Museum and East Lake Park. After having lunch enjoy a half day free at leisure.

Day 11 - Wuhan -> Guilin (B, L)

Visits : Elephant Trunk Hill, Wave-Subduing Hill (Fubo Hill)

Today you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Guilin.

After having lunch our guide will take you to visit the Elephant Trunk Hill & Fubo Hill.

Day 12 - Guilin -> Yangshuo (B, L)

After breakfast make this day with trip to Li River Cruise to witness the spectacular limestone rock formations and rural life along the riverbanks. After lunch, stop at Yangshuo, a small town set in the lush rice paddies and surrounded by meandering rivers and limestone peaks. In the afternoon enjoy a half day free at leisure.

Day 13 - Yangshuo -> Guilin (B, L)

After enjoying your breakfast enjoy cycling along Yulong River and then pay a visit to a local village. Have a chat with the villagers to learn about their life with the help of our guide. After having lunch enjoy a half day free at leisure.

Then be transferred to Guilin by car.

Day 14 - Guilin -> Shanghai (B, L)

Visits : Reed Flute Cave(Lu Di Yan)

This morning pay a visit to Reed Flute Cave. Reed Flute Cave is known as a Palace of Natural Art. It is full of stalactites and stalagmites in various shapes and sizes, which, with a multicolored lighting system, resemble a Chinese-version story of Journey to the Center of the Earth. The cave was also a frequent refuge for the local people escaping bandits and war in the past. After lunch you will be transferred to the airport and take flight to Shanghai. At night, enjoy a short cruise over Huangpu River to appreciate the night view of the city.

Day 15 - Shanghai (B, L)

Visits : Shanghai Museum, Yuyuan Garden

Today take half day trip to Shanghai Museum. As one of the three most important museums in China, it has a big collection of bronze wares. This afternoon go for Yuyuan Garden which was built for Pan Yunduan's parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age. Pan Yunduan was an official of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The garden is a typical classic garden-style architectural complex. Later on walk around Chenghuangmiao Bazaar. There is an authentic local flavor about this busy market area, where the locals preserved their unique life styles and customs.

The restaurant is located No. 239 Shanxi South Road Huangpu District. It mainly serves Shanghai local dishes. It is popular among local people for its braised food.

Day 16 - Shanghai (B)

Free till being transfered to the airport. End of the fabulous tour in China.

A Chinese friend of mine treated me to a dinner at Chu Wan Yuan restaurant. A dish called Pumpkin Chicken impressed me most. Served in a lovely wood bucket and soaked in soup, the food gives off a delicate garlic fragrance.

A good view of the Yangtze River Bridge and the whole city atop the Yellow Crane Tower. Only it was a rainy day, and the river water looks turbid.

I m afraid the queue outside the Shanghai Museum was a bit too long. It took me fifteen minutes to get to the security check. But the exhibitions are wonderful there. Worth a good visit. I spent one hour plus at the ancient coins exhibition hall.
