8 Days Tibet Trekking Tour
Lhasa - Damxung County - Zetang Town - Gyantse - Shigatse
Description : For those who would like some trekking experiences in Tibet but not sure about their physical capacity at the high elevation, this tour will be a great. The 8-day Tibet hiking tour package covers the major sites of Lhasa and surroundings; we have arranged two short trekking tours with each taking no more than 4 hours.

Day 1 - Lhasa (D)
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the guide and be transferred to your hotel in the city center.
Day 2 - Lhasa (B, L)
Visits : Potala Palace, Barkhor Street, Jokhang Temple
Today visit Potala Palace which is the symbol of Lhasa. This afternoon pay a visit to Jokhang Temple,the first Buddhist temple in Lhasa and China's key cultural relic for protection and a world cultural heritage. Then enjoy a stroll along the Barkhor Street nearby which is the favorite place for all visitors.
Day 3 - Lhasa (B, L)
Visits : Drepung Monastery
This morning pay a visit to Drepung Monastery (Vault of the Crops in Tibetan)It is famous for the debates on Buddhist doctrines frequently held,which is also known as the Tibetan Library. This afternoon you will go to Tayeb Monastery.
Day 4 - Lhasa -> Damxung County (B, L, D)
Visits : Heavenly Lake Namtso
After enjoying your breakfast Then you will be driven to Damxung County. This afternoon cross over Naganla Pass and start to trek to Namtso Lake which will take about 4 hours.Namtso Lake, the second largest saltwater lake, is one of the five most beautiful lakes in China selected by China National Geography magazine.
Day 5 - Damxung County -> Lhasa (B, L)
This morning you may trek along the Tashidor Island for 1 hour to appreciate the beauty of the lake. After lunch Then you will be transferred to Lhasa by private car.
Day 6 - Lhasa -> Zetang Town -> Gyantse (B, L, D)
Visits : Kumbum Monastery(Bai Ju Si Temple)
Today Then you will be driven to Zetang Town. You will have the chance to visit Yangdrok Lake.Known as a holy lake, the view of Yangdrok Lake is impressive together with the snow-covered peaks in surrounding areas. After having lunch Then you will be transferred to Gyantse by private car.Upon your arrival, visit Palkor Monastery.
Day 7 - Gyantse -> Shigatse -> Lhasa (B, L)
Visits : Tashilhunpo Monastery
This morning Then you will be driven to Shigatse. visit the Tashilhumpo Monastery, one of the four greatest monasteries of the Gelugpa School of Tibetan Buddhism. In the afternoon Then you will be transferred to Lhasa by private car.
