Upon your arrival, our guide will meet you and transfer you to the city center.
Visits : The Dazu Rock Carvings
This morning you will go to Dazu Rock Carvings. Located 167 km east of Chongqing, Dazu Rock Carvings was built from 650 in the Tang Dynasty. In the afternoon enjoy a half day free at leisure.
Then you will transfered to Chongqing railway station and take an overnight train to Luoyang.
Visits : Longmen Grottoes
Today pay a visit to Longmen Grottoes, one of the three most important Buddhism grottoes in China. There are 2345 caves and niches, 2800 inscriptions, 43 pagodas and over 100,000 Buddhist images at the site. 30% of the caves date from the Northern Wei Dynasty, 60% from the Tang Dynasty, and caves from other periods less than 10%. It is the most impressive collection of Chinese art from these dynasties, which represents the zenith of stone carving in China. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Zhengzhou by private car. Then you will transfered to Zhengzhou railway station and take an overnight train to Datong.
Visits : Yungang Grottoes
After breakfast enjoy a free morning at leisure.
This afternoon pay a visit to Yungang Grottoes, which is considered as the classical works of Buddhism art at its peak time.
