Guangzhou

Guangzhou, known as Canton in the past, is an ancient city located in southern China and the provincial capital of Guangdong. In 9th century BC, there had been native people living in the area, who had some trade relations with the population of Yangtze River regions. But the present name of the city had been obtained in 226 AD, when Su Quan, the founder of Wu State during the Three Kingdoms Period, for the sake of administrative convenience, divided Jiaozhou into Jiaozhou and Guangzhou. The latter became the city we know now. In 1921, Guangzhou city government was established and the name was designated to the city.

Wuhan

Wuhan is a city having a history of 3500 years with a lot of cultural relics. The ancient Chu culture has left very much priceless heritage for Wuhan. The old civilization gives no impact on the modern lifestyle of its people, commerce and tourism here are becoming integrated with the global market. Walking down the small streets and lanes, seeing the curious blending of old and new and viewing the four bridges that cross over the gigantic Yangtze River ia an overwhelming experience.

Zhengzhou

At the first glance, Zhengzhou is partially different from other advanced or developed cities along the coast. It is modern but traditional in life, beautiful and attractive in tour. Its long history and rich custom give us the evidence that it is undoubtedly worth travelling.

Luoyang

A snowy winter day in the year 691 AD, Empress Wuzetian was in great mood, so she took her servants to the Upper Garden. When the snow stopped, Wuzetian saw pavilions, bridges and corridors here were covered with snow. Withered tree branches were very good looking when they were dressed up by snow and butterfly-like flakes on them would fall when touched by small birds. Suddenly, she saw a flower of fire-like red color standing upon the snowy ground. She then discovered it was the red plum blossom. Wuzetian was so rejoiced. One of the maid servants said, "Your majesty, it is only one flower blossoming here now. If you can make a decree to order all the flowers in the garden to blossom, you will be more gratified."
