Day 1

Beijing   (No meal included)

upon arriving, our guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to JE mansion, where you will savor the luxury empire feelings and experience old aristocratic life. You will be free for the rest of the day.

Day 2

Beijing   (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we’ll visit the Temple of Heaven where you can watch local people practicing Tai Chi. Temple of Heaven are the world's largest royal ritual building and a cultural heritage site.In Beijing there is the Temple of Land in the north for offering sacrifices to the Earth; Temple of Heaven in the south for the Heaven; Temple of Sun in the east for the Sun; Temple of Moon in the west for the Moon. Among them, the most magnificent one is Temple of Heaven, which was turned into a park in1918.

In the afternoon, we will drive you to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Tiananmen Square can be described as the heart of Beijing, and it has witnessed many historical events. It is also the world's largest city square. Famous landmarks such as the Great Hall, Mao Zedong Memorial Hall and National Museum of China stand on the square. Then you will tour the Forbidden City including the treasure museum and the clock museum. It was first built in Ming Yongle era, according to ancient astrology. Twenty-fouremperors of Ming and Qing dynasties lived here for more than 500 years. After visiting here, if the weather is fine, we can climb Jing Hill to watch the sunset over the Forbidden City.

We will have Peking Roasted Duck for dinner. It’s the representative food of Beijing food. Established in 1864, Quanjude restaurant is popular with many celebrities.

Day 3

Beijing   (B, L)

Today we’ll go to visit Mutianyu Great Wall. Mutianyu is the section that the First Lady of United States Michelle Obama and her family visited on her recent trip to China. Located to the northeast of Beijing, it’s the one of the best preserved sections of the Great Wall.
We’ll take a break after lunch, and go to the Chang Tomb, one of the 13 Ming Tombs. It is the resting place of Zhu Di, the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty and his empress. There’s a 7km sacred road lined with animal and human statues leading to the tomb. Thenon the drive back to downtown we will see the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube on the journey, whichwere the main venues of the 2008 BeijingOlympicGames.
At night, a Kongfu show is waiting for us. The show tells an inspirational story of a Chinese legend and it’s quite impressive.

Day 4

Beijing -> Hangzhou   (B, L)

After breakfast, we’ll visit the Summer Palace. Alsoknown as the Royal Garden Museum thisis one of the four classical Chinese gardens. It’s based on Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, modeled on West Lake in Hangzhou. It fully absorbs the southern gardens’ marrow. In 1998,it was put on the world heritage list.
At 15:00 we’ll take the speed bulletin train to Hangzhou. It takes about sixhours and arrives at Hangzhou at 20:52. Then our guide in Hangzhou will escort you to the hotel –ChaptelHangzhou.

Day 5

Hangzhou   (B, L, D)

Our tour starts with a West Lake boat trip for a charming view of the lake and to enjoy the scenery of the different seasons, it is impressively beautiful. West Lake is the spirit of Hangzhou. And now it’s also on the world heritage list. We can see many attractions from the boat.After the boat ride, we move to the stone carved shrine –Xiling seal society. The Xiling seal society has more than a centuryof history. Many celebrities are from here, such as WuChangshuo, ShaMenghai, Zhang ZongXiang, ZhaoPuchu and other cultural and academic masters. This is where you cometo learn the culture of stone carving.We will see Parker Hall, Hansanlao stone room and Huayanjing Tower.
Then we visit Bao Pu Taoist Temple, the most famous Taoist temple in Hangzhou. Bao Pu is one of the essence spiritsof Taoism.Here we can climb up the hill and see theview of West Lake.
After lunch, we drive to visit the Southern Song Dynasty Guan Kiln Museum, and later travel to Jade Mountain. You will hike to Fuxing temple at the summit and view the Bagua fields.
Our next stop is Hefang Street; Hangzhou’s famous historical street. Here we can experience the Southern Song Dynasty culture and Chinese medical culture. The shops are full of classic furniture, beautiful accessories, and the food is something we can’t miss.
After dinner, we’ll go to see the Impression West Lake;a large integrated performance using the real West Lake scenery as a backdrop. Then we will take you back to hotel and end today’s tour.

Day 6

Hangzhou   (B, L, D)

In the morning we will visit the most famous temple in Hangzhou, the Lingyin Temple. And the Feilai Peak carving is worth seeing too. The carving has many kinds with marvelous statues.
Then we will drive to Longjing Tea Park and Tea Museum. Hangzhou Longjing green tea is known as the No.1 green tea in China. The tea park is rich in Longjing green tea, and it’s also the leisure place for local folks. Drinking tea here will be anunforgettable memory.
In the afternoon we will drive to Xixi Wet Land, a national wetland with multi-usage and stunning scenery.
We will have a French meal at the Chaptel Hangzhou prepared by the Michelin chef.

Day 7

Hangzhou -> Wuzhen   (B, L)

After breakfast, take a little break. We will drive to Wuzhen around 10:00. It takes about 1.5 hours. Wuzhen is one of the southern ancient towns. We will visit the west section. It contains 12 small islands, and more than 70 bridges connecting them together. There we can see the well preserved old buildings and houses by the water. There are some representative spots like the water dance stage, and some museums. Every spot has its own story. Seeing the town by boat after nightfall is something that words can’t describe.

Day 8

Wuzhen -> Shanghai   (B)

After breakfast, take a little break. We will drive to Shanghai at around 10:00. Upon arrival we check into the hotel. You’ll be free for the rest of the day. While Shanghai has so much to see,we recommend you visit People Square, Shanghai Museum, West Nanjing Road, Laokele Shanghai restaurant, East Nanjing Road, and the Bund.

Today's trip is to savor the old Shanghai style. Shanghai not only has a brilliant present and future, but also a heavy past. What would it be like in old Shanghai? Today’s tour will take you to discover this.
 
Wen Temple is the signature of Shanghai culture. With 700 years of history, it is the only place in the city in honor of Confucius and servesas a cultural venue to promote Confucianism. During Ming and Qing dynastiesit was thehighest institution of education. The originalbuilding was destroyedbut the charm remains in the new buildings.
 
Shanghai Old Street is near Yuyuan Garden and City God Temple. Shanghai has many old streets, and this one is representative of those. Located in the heart of the city there are many shops, restaurants, tea houses etc., it is like the old Shanghai from centuries ago. It was opened to public in 1961 and it’s one of the four Chinese culture markets. Yuyuan Garden and City God Temple are must-see places.
 
Shangwen Road is the old area and has Shanghai’s deepest and longest neighborhood, which is called Mianjingnong. The place doesn’t appear on a map, but it is one of Shanghai's oldeststreetsand is full of local life.

Day 10

We’ll visit Shanghai’s French Concession. It’s the earliest, biggest, and most prosperous area in China, and one of the two concessions in Shanghai. Here we can feel the former colonial life. Then we move on to Xintiandi. It’s the most famous leisure attraction. Xintiandi is Shanghai's trendy hangout place for artists and fashionable expatriates.Coming here to enjoy leisure time and authentic western coffee is the most exotic and best way to experience the characteristics of Shanghai.
