There is a remote county in the south of China named Bama. More than 80 centenarians out of a population of 240,000 live here. Most of them are still capable of performing daily chores. Experts think it is the good air and water there make the local people have a long life expectancy. Whatever it is, it is worthwhile to travel to the area to seek the secrets of longevity. And this is a tour meant for this.

Day 1

Tianjin -> Nanning   (No meal included)

When you arrive in Nanning Airport, you will meet the guide and be transferred to the hotel in Nanning. Enjoy free time on your own for the rest of the day.

Day 2

Nanning   (B, L)

After enjoying your breakfast, you will be guided to Nanhu Park. The city park is on the southern side of Nanhu Lake. It is an ideal place for a nice stroll. It has a subtropical landscape. And inside the park, you will see the orchid garden, bonsai garden, and the Exhibition Hall of Baise Uprising, etc. After that, you will travel to the Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Area. It consists of gardens, lakes, Buddhist temple, ancient steles bearing inscriptions and a 9-storey pagoda with panoramic views of Nanning. Then you will travel to Guangxi Museum of Nationalities. It showcases different cultures of the 12 indigenous minorities of Guangxi Province. Costumes, textiles, tools for farming and daily life, rituals and music from these minorities are exhibited. Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Nanning.

Day 3

Nanning   (B, L)

After enjoying your breakfast, drive to Bama. It is about 4 hours drive. Then you will travel to Sanmenhai Cave which is famous for the seven skylights whose layout is similar to the constellation Ursa Major. You will take a boat to explore the cave. Then you will visit Longevity Museum in Bama. Bama have been known as a land of longevity for long. Its population is about 240,000 and it has more than 80 centenarians living in this area. The museum is dedicated to demonstrating the possible reasons for longevity. Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Bama.

Day 4

Nanning   (B, L)

Today you will take a discovery tour to Baimo Cave where you will enjoy the famous karst landscape and take in good air to improve your vitality and longevity. Then you will visit a nearby longevity village to visit the centenarians. Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Bama.

Day 5

Nanning -> Guilin   (B, L)

Visits : Elephant Trunk Hill

Today you will be transferred to the airport in Baise for the flight to Guilin. After lunch, you will travel to Banyan Lake Scenic Area, which features towers, pavilions, ancient city gate, old banyan trees, and bridges, etc. After that, you will travel to Elephant Trunk Hill. It is the symbol of Guilin. The hill looks like an elephant drinking water thus it’s named so. After the tour, be dropped off at your hotel in Guilin.

Day 6

Guilin   (B, L)

This morning you will visit Liu Sanjie Cultural Garden. It is in memory of the famous singer Liu Sanjie of Zhuang nationality. Inside the garden, you will see the former residences of Liu Sanjie and her beau A Niu. Also it offers different kinds of performances to demonstrate the minority cultures including Miao, Zhuang and Dong nationalities. After that you will travel to the City of Prince Jinjiang. It houses the Mansion of Prince Jinjiang, Gong Yuan (the examination hall of ancient China), and Duxiu Hill. Prince Jinjiang was the grand nephew of Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of Ming Dynasty, who assigned Guilin and the surrounding area to Prince Jinjiang as his fief. After the tour, be dropped off at your hotel in Guilin.

Day 7

Guilin -> Yangshuo   (B, L)

Visits : Lijiang River, the Symphony of Karst Peaks

This morning you will spend about 4 hours cruising along the picturesque Li River. As the air-conditioned boat sails along the river, the karst hills thrusting out of the ground are everywhere, catching your eyes. And the countryside scenery is quite breathtaking. You may see water buffaloes drinking water in the river. Buffet lunch is served on board. The boat arrives in Yangshuo. Then you will explore the West Street which is a famous souvenir street. In the evening, you will watch the famous show: Impression of Liu Sanjie. It was choreographed by Zhang Yimou, who also directed the Opening Ceremony of Olympic Games 2008. The show is set on the Li River, among the karst hills, all in a real natural background. The cast consists of more than 600 performers. All are local villagers and fishermen who do their farming work at day time while devote their time to the performance at night. After the show, go back to the hotel in Yangshuo.

Day 8

Yangshuo -> Guilin   (B, L)

After enjoying your breakfast you will take a bamboo raft to drift down the Yulong River for approximately 1.5 hours. It is said that Yulong River’s scenery is more impressive than Li River. After that, travel to Yinzi Cave. Inside the cave, you will see stalactites and stalagmites of different shapes and the amazing light effect. After the tour, you will be transferred to the hotel in Guilin.

Day 9

Guilin   (B)

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport and take flight back home.
