Visits : Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Beijing Summer Palace
Today you will visit Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. After having lunch leave for the Summer Palace. Well known for its large and priceless collection of cultural relics, Summer Palace was among the first group of historical and cultural heritage sites in China to be placed under special state protection. Afterwards, you will enjoy a rickshaw tour in the old Hutong and visit a local family. This evening, you will go to taste Beijing Roast Duck in Quanjude which is a famous historied Roast Duck restaurant in China.
Visits : The Great Wall of China, The Ming Tombs
After breakfast we drive towards northwest to visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall. Badaling is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 50 miles (80 km) northwest of urban Beijing city in Yanqing County, which is within the Beijing municipality. The portion of the wall running through the site was built during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location's strategic importance. The highest point of Badaling is Beibalou, approximately 0.63 miles (1,015 m) above sea level. In the afternoon switch to Ming tombs and visit Changling. ChangLing is the largest and best preserved of the 13 Ming Tombs near Beijing. ChangLing, 4km from the entrance, is the tomb of Emperor YongLe (reign 1403-1424) and empress XuShi. The layout is identical to the tomb of the first Ming emperor in Nanjing and is rather like the Forbidden City in miniature. In addition to the palace, there is an underground burial chamber. Be picked up from your hotel at about 18:30pm and driven to Liyuan Theatre. Our English-speaking guide will lead you in. Enjoy Beijing Opera at a good seat, from 19:30pm-20:50pm. Now you can appreciate some classic episodes, performed by professional opera artists. At the end of the show, send you back to hotel.
Visits : Temple of Heaven
After breakfast you will visit the Temple of Heaven where emperors conducted religious rituals and prayed for good harvest in Qing and Ming dynasties. It is one of the most important landmarks of Beijing. After having lunch you will be transferred to the airport and take flight to Xining.
Today you will be driven to Golmud. After that, it is a city in the Gobi Desert. It has rich natural resources, and therefore is called "treasure basin"as well. On the way you will visit Chaka Salt Lake. The lake has a salt deposit of over 440 megatons and is one of the four biggest salt lakes in the region.
After enjoying your breakfast you will be driven to Nagqu. Today will be a tough day because you will spend almost 15 hours on the road. You will pass the mouth of Mt. Kunlun along the highest altitude road in the world. The mountain has a steep terrain, a unique ecological environment and a magnificent natural scene. You will also see numerous hills rising one upon another, snowy peaks towering into the sky, and a vast expanse of grassland and the tuotuo river, which is not only the source of Yangtze River, but also the Yellow river and Lancang river. You will also traverse the famous Hoh Xil Nature Reserve which is an unmanned, deserted land on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
After breakfast go to Namtso, one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet, and the second largest inland salty lake in China. In the late afternoon you will be transferred to Lhasa by private car.
Notes: Tibet travel permit will only be issued to a minimum group size of 5 travelers from the same country.
Visits : Barkhor Street, Jokhang Temple, Potala Palace
After enjoying your breakfast your tour in Lhasa starts from Potala Palace, the symbol of Lhasa and the regional capital of Tibet. Then go to Jokhang Monastery, the first Buddhist temple and for most Tibetans the most sacred and important temple in Tibet. Of course, you should not miss Barkhor Street nearby, the biggest bazaar for the Tibetans.

The most popular statues might be the Goddess of Mercy (Guanyin) and the Peacock King. The sculptures at Baoding Mountain are far more superior. At the centre is the giant Reclining Buddha which is 31m long and 5m high. The expression on his face is peace and happiness.
