This morning you will visit Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. After having lunch the relaxing visit provided an opportunity for a window into the natural Beijing people's life style and you have much more to see and experience.

The initial stop Summer Palace acclaimed as a museum of gardens in China, for a visit to this garden bestow on sightseers a glimpse of representative scenes all over China.

This evening, you will go to taste Beijing Roast Duck in Quanjude which is a famous historied Roast Duck restaurant in China.

Visits : The Great Wall of China, The Ming Tombs

Today we drive towards northwest to visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall. Badaling is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 50 miles (80 km) northwest of urban Beijing city in Yanqing County, which is within the Beijing municipality. The portion of the wall running through the site was built during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location's strategic importance. The highest point of Badaling is Beibalou, approximately 0.63 miles (1,015 m) above sea level. In the afternoon switch to Ming tombs and visit Changling. ChangLing is the largest and best preserved of the 13 Ming Tombs near Beijing. ChangLing, 4km from the entrance, is the tomb of Emperor YongLe (reign 1403-1424) and empress XuShi. The layout is identical to the tomb of the first Ming emperor in Nanjing and is rather like the Forbidden City in miniature. In addition to the palace, there is an underground burial chamber. Later then, go for Xiushui Street. This street is a shopping center in Beijing that accommodates over 1,700 retail vendors, notorious among international tourists for their wide selection of counterfeit designer brand apparels. Be picked up from your hotel at about 18:30pm and driven to Liyuan Theatre. Our English-speaking guide will lead you in. Enjoy Beijing Opera at a good seat, from 19:30pm-20:50pm. Now you can appreciate some classic episodes, performed by professional opera artists. At the end of the show, send you back to hotel.

This morning visit the tranquil setting of the Temple of Heaven where Emperors prayed for good harvests and the welfare of the people. The sacred and unique design of Temple of Beijing is characteristic of Ming Dynasty architecture and one of the most unique structures in Beijing. The Temple of Heaven has become a very popular meeting place for Beijing locals where they congregate to practice tai chi, dancing and singing.

After having lunch head for the railway station and take a safe, fast and comfortable train ride to Chengde.

After enjoying your breakfast visit the majestic Summer Resort, the largest royal landscape in China today, enveloped within a smaller version of the Great Wall. In the afternoon head for the railway station and take a safe, fast and comfortable train ride to Beijing.

Day 6 - Beijing -> Luoyang   (B, L)

After enjoying your breakfast explore Hutong to feel this unique architecture and local people's life in Beijing. Later on, enjoy your time in Qianmen Street. Beijing Ba guo bu yi Restaurant serves some of the heartiest and most authentic Sichuan fare in town with its traditional Chinese style decorations. Favorite dishes include dandan noodles in spicy peanut-sesame-garlic sauce, lazi jiding (chicken smothered by chilies), steamed fish served with chili-oil sauce and huiguorou (twice-cooked pork).

After breakfast take one and a half hours' drive to Shaolin Temple for a visit. It was here that Indian monk Bodhidarma stayed and taught the idea of Dyana (Zen) to his disciples. The temple is famous for its martial art - Kungfu as well. After lunch you will visit the graveyard of the temple, where a lot of tower-style tombs are set there. Then enjoy a free walk around. There are many Kungfu training schools there. In the afternoon be escorted to the White Horse Temple, the first Buddhist temple in China, established in 68 AD under the reign of Emperor Ming in the Eastern Han Dynasty.

Day 8 - Luoyang -> Xian   (B, L)

After breakfast pay a visit to Longmen Grottoes, one of the three most important Buddhism grottoes in China. There are 2345 caves and niches, 2800 inscriptions, 43 pagodas and over 100,000 Buddhist images at the site. 30% of the caves date from the Northern Wei Dynasty, 60% from the Tang Dynasty, and caves from other periods less than 10%. It is the most impressive collection of Chinese art from these dynasties, which represents the zenith of stone carving in China. In the afternoon head for the railway station and take a safe, fast and comfortable train ride to Xian.

Visits : Terra-Cotta Warriors, The Big Wild Goose Pagoda

Today visit the world famous Terra Cotta Warriors. It was discovered in 1974 and considered one of the eight wonders in the world. In the afternoon enjoy a leisure visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the most important historical sites in Xian.

After enjoying your breakfast pay a visit to Shaanxi History Museum, which is one of the first huge state museums with modern facilities in China with over 300,000 items. This afternoon walk along the old streets of the Muslim area and visit the Grand Mosque.

The most famous of the Jia Brothers' restaurants and the specialty dish is guantang baozi, with a choice of beef, lamb, or "three flavors" -- lamb, mushroom, and prawn.

Day 11 - Xian -> Hangzhou   (B, L)

After enjoying your breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Hangzhou.

In the afternoon you will visit the historic Hefang Street, an epitome of the history and culture of Hangzhou. And you will visit Huqingyutang, a famous traditional Chinese Medicine Museum. Then you will visit Leifeng Pagoda.

This morning enjoy the picturesque sceneries while having the boat cruise on the West Lake. After lunch take a visit to Zhejiang Museum,China Silk Museum and Southern Song Kiln Museum.

Day 13 - Hangzhou -> Shanghai   (B, L)

Lingyin Temple

Visits : Lingyin Temple, The Xixi National Wetland Park

This morning visit Lingyin temple, where has a quiet and beautiful grandeur that encourages a feeling of peace and for contemplation. Then, you are going to hike through mini-mountain Fei Lai Peak to discover many Buddhist rock carvings. Your next stop is to take a gander at Meijiawu Tea Village. After having lunch enjoy half day tour to Xixi Wetland Park. It is a good way to get away from hustle and bustle and get close to the nature. head for the railway station and take a safe, fast and comfortable train ride to Shanghai.

Today take your time to visit Shanghai Museum which is located in People's Square. This afternoon stroll along Nanjing Road. Then go to the Bund, where you can enjoy the gallery of different styles of architecture built at the time, followed with a visit to Xintiandi.

Visits : Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai Old Street, Yuyuan Garden

Today travel to Yuyuan Garden, an exquisite classic garden with a history of more than 400 years. Then visit Jade Buddha Temple where two jade Buddha statues from Burma are housed. This afternoon explore the Shanghai Old Street.
