Upon your arrival, our guide will meet you and transfer you to the city center. visit Grand View Pavilion. Grand View Pavilion, 6 km away from downtown Kunming, is known for its longest couplet in China.
Visits : Stone Forest
This morning head for the Stone Forest Scenic Area 78km away from Kunming. The national geographic park was declared in 2004 by UNESCO as one of the first 28 "World Geographical Parks". As the most typical karst landform in the world, the area is called "the first mysterious scene in the world". And as the hometown of Yi ethnic people , it has a strong flavour of Yi culture. The most characteristic ethnic feature of the area is the yearly Yi Torch Festival on the 24th of the sixth lunar month. The Sani people (a branch of Yi group) will gather at the Stone Forest in the daytime wrestling, bullfighting and doing other games. After night falls, they will gather around a flaming campfire singing and dancing throughout the night.
Visits : Yuantong Temple
This morning visit Yuantong Temple and West Hill. Yuantong Temple, one of the oldest temples in Yunnan Province, is a mixture of three major sects of Chinese Buddhism. West Hill lies on the west bank of Dianchi Lake. Viewed from a distance, it looks like a tremendous sleeping Buddha.Ascend to the top and look down you can see overhanging rocks, steep cliffs and Dianchi Lake merging into the sky. This afternoon travel to Yunnan Ethnic Village. This wonderful theme park displays the colorful folklore and architecture of 25 ethnic groups in Yunnan Province. Then you will be transferred to the airport and board the flight to Dali.
Visits : Erhai Lake
After enjoying your breakfast pay a visit to Erhai, which is the largest highland lake and one of the seven biggest fresh water lakes in China. You will take a cruise over the lake and watch Three Course Tea Performance. Then visit Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple. The pagodas have been the landmark of Dali for over 1000 years. The main pagoda was built at the reign of Quan Fengyou (823 - 859 AD). The other two were built in the period of Dali Kingdom. In the afternoon explore Mt Cangshan, which with 19 peaks enjoys great reputation for its snow, clouds, springs and marble. Then visit Ancient City of Dali. It used to be a gateway to the Silk Road in Southwest China and it ranks on the top list of Famous Historic and Cultural Cities in China.
Visits : Lijiang Ancient City
After enjoying your breakfast you will be driven to Lijiang. This afternoon you will visit the Old Town and Black Dragon Pool. The Old Town of Lijiang, built at the late Song dynasty and early Yuan dynasty, has no city walls. The centre of the town is the Sifang Street surrounded by five main street leading in all directions. The common dwellings are a combination of the excellent architectural styles of Han, Bai and Tibetan cultures. The old town has made good use of water from the Black Dragon Pool.
After enjoying your breakfast devote your time to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Consisting 13 peaks, it is the southernmost glacier in the Northern Hemisphere. After having lunch enjoy a half day free at leisure.
Tonight, enjoy the marvelous Lijiang Impression Show.
After breakfast you will visit Yufeng Temple, Yushui Village, Yuzhuqingtian, Dongba Kingdom and Dongba Valley. Yufeng Temple is one of the five majoe Lama temples in Lijiang. Yushui Village is a sacred place for Dongba culture of central Naxi ethnic groups. Yuzhuqingtian is the summer resort for the Lijiang minority ethnic leaders. Dongba Kingdom and Dongba Valley are perfect places displaying Dongba Culture and the villages of ancient Naxi ethnic people. After having lunch you will be transferred to the airport and take flight to Kunming.
