Day 1 - Beijing   (L)

Visits : Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square

Upon your arrival, your guide will meet you and transfer you to the city center. In the afternoon, begin your tour with visiting Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years.   In the evening, about 18:30pm, you will be picked up at your hotel to Liyuan Theatre. Enjoy Beijing Opera from 19:30pm-20:50pm. Now you can appreciate some classic episodes, performed by professional opera artists. At the end of the show, send you back to hotel.

Visits : The Great Wall of China, Sacred Road of The Ming Tombs

After breakfast, you are  driven towards northwest to visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall. Badaling is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 50 miles (80 km) northwest of urban Beijing city in Yanqing County, which is within the Beijing municipality. The portion of the wall running through the site was built during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location´s strategic importance. The highest point of Badaling is Beibalou, approximately 0.63 miles (1,015 m) above sea level.   After lunch drive to one burial site of 13 Ming dynasty emperors. Today you will visit Dingling and walk along the Sacred Road. Later, be transferred to city center for a short rest at your hotel.   In the evening, you will go to taste Beijing Roast Duck in Quanjude which is a famous historied Roast Duck restaurant in China.

Day 3 - Beijing -> Datong   (B, L)

Visits : Temple of Heaven, Beijing Summer Palace

Today you will visit the Temple of Heaven where emperors conducted religious rituals and prayed for good harvest in Qing and Ming dynasties. It is one of the most important landmarks of Beijing.   After lunch leave for the Summer Palace. Well known for its large and priceless collection of cultural relics, Summer Palace was among the first group of historical and cultural heritage sites in China to be placed under special state protection. Afterwards, you will enjoy a rickshaw tour in the old Hutong and visit a local family.   Then you will transfered to Beijing railway station and take an overnight train to Datong. Overnight on the train.

Day 4 - Datong -> Wutai County   (B, L)

Visits : Yungang Grottoes, Hanging Temple (Xuankong Temple), Wooden Pagoda of Ying County

Upon arrival Datong railway station, you will be picked up by local guide and transfer you to have your breakfast.   Then, start your Datong tour wih visiting Yungang Grottoes, which is considered as the classical works of Buddhism art at its peak time. And then have a look at the marvellous and incredible Hanging Temple. Later, you will be transferred southeast to visit the Wooden Pagoda.   Finally, you will be transferred to Wutai County by private car.

Day 5 - Wutai County -> Datong -> Beijing   (B, L)

This morning, you will visit the mountains and the temples in Mt Wutaishan, which is one of China´s four sacred Buddhist Mountains. The highlights of Wutaishan are Pusa Ding, Xiantong Temple and Ten Thousand Buddha Pavillion.   In the afternoon you will be transferred to Datong by private car. Then you will transfered to Datong railway station and take an overnight train to Beijing.

Day 6 - Beijing   (B)

Upon arrival Beijing railway station, your guide will pick you up and transfer you to have a breakfast. Then, head for Beijing airport to reach your next destination.
